  1. I'll look into that! I've got a big list of things to improve, will be working through those after I've finished a large work project. Cheers
  2. You are not wrong.... Limetech must love and hate a community like this
  3. As far as I'm aware, Tom has already put in many hours of R&D to learn about AFP and how to implement version 3. I would say it's a waste of time not to continue down this path. Once it's 'stable', then leave it alone. Currently, it's not completely stable, and it's a feature some people paid for in version 5.
  4. Read through that entire thread with respect to AFP. Seems like a low number of people are requesting the upgrade (in fact, you were the only one asking for an upgrade, it appears everyone else was just asking for us to not drop support for it entirely). I think we'll need to see more folks rally behind the cause to bump this up in the priority list of "to dos". I realize Tom may have made a commitment here, but we're looking out for the best interests of our users as a whole. Many users are reporting that Time Machine works fine under the current unRAID implementation. Again, not looking to drop AFP here, just trying to understand why we need a clearly dying protocol to be upgraded right now. EDIT: As for Samba/NFS, I don't think you can make a case to say we should update AFP (a dying and terrible protocol) because we've updated other protocols so much. Samba/NFS = more popular, more widely used, and is definitely going to be supported longer. Apples (no pun intended) and oranges. I would definitely like AFP to be updated. AFP is the only protocol that works correctly with iTunes, as well as TimeMachine. Apple's SMB implementation is good, but has problems.
  5. So Unraid 7 will be a paid upgrade? Maybe I'm reading too much into that.but I'm cool with that, God knows that tom has been great with upgrades thus far. With the additional staff and increased development it was only a matter of time anyways. ? Never said that. It should be. How else do you get paid.
  6. It's called MargaritaToGo because it runs on your phone, however the aim is to eventually support external communication with your unRAID server.
  7. Found the issue, and it will be fixed in the next release. Sorry all!
  8. emhttp needs to update those values. Try making a request to http://ipaddress/update.htm before hand. If that doesn't work, do a request to http://ipaddress/main.
  9. Hi! Great find, that's a test case I didn't try. Will add that to the next release. Searching unRAID should indeed find this app, as that is one of the keywords.
  10. Hi Chris, Thanks for the review. Can I confirm if that drive actually had 888 errors? The parity sync 'errors' and the actual disk errors are different. You can confirm this by seeing if there is a red drive in the 'Disks' tab, or via the unRAID webGUI. I plan to give even more information for each disk, by allowing you to press on a disk and the row will expand with the serial number, error counts, and whether it's spin up or down. Either way, please PM me so I can get a bit more information. Cheers! Andrew
  11. Didn't work for me. I turn off wifi and can't connect to unraid server. That's correct. I believe rmeaux will have opened unRAID to the internet.
  12. I might simply allow this app to run on iPad, will look into that for you.
  13. Cheers! I'll try my best to make the people who provide feedback happy.
  14. Hi All, I'm pleased to announce MargaritaToGo, the first native iPhone app for unRAID, to the App Store! Download Here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/margaritatogo/id884412321 Watch Video Features - Works out of the box - Easy to read statistics on Array, Disks and Shares - Turn services on / off - Receive notifications on disk errors and temperature warnings - Monitor unRAID status in the background, with notifications - Sleek design - Wake On LAN I've put a lot of effort into making this app integrate seamlessly with unRAID, and of course making it look as clean and professional as possible. Really enjoying using the app myself, and I'm looking forward to your feedback!
  15. Now been waiting for review for over 2 weeks, and I've sent a grumpy email to Apple. No ETA, no reply. Useless!
  16. Hi Switchblade, Just to be clear, this app does not monitor motherboard sensors. This app only monitors what unRAID provides, which is HD temps, stats and errors. This does not require any extra packages or plugins. If, in the future, there is enough want and a large enough user base to justify additional functionality, then I will implement more advanced features which might require a package to be installed on your unRAID server. The base functionality would still work as intended without any packages required. Kind regards, Andrew And only over LAN right? Correct - over WAN is a planned feature.

  18. Submitted a few days ago! The review times appear to be lengthy at the moment.
  19. Good suggestion - could look at 3rd party services... I'll do more research once the app is available.
  20. Just requires unRAID 5.0+. No plugin required, works out of the box.
  21. Thanks! I've already gone through beta testing with a couple of users, but I appreciate the offer to test all the same.
  22. I could add a log view, this might be pegged for a future release. I don't think an android version would happen due to the fact I'd need to re-write large portions of the app to get the same look, feel and functionality. Who knows, I should explore it to see for myself before nay-saying.
