  1. I cannot link the static IP address so cannot access the UPS through its web interface. I have looked at router settings but no way to assign IP to mac address. How else can I assign its IP? The error that I get when using arp is in my previous post. Thank you for the help
  2. Have recently got an APC 1500w and installed an AP9617 network management card however am having issues setting up its IP address. Has any one set this up successfully? This is what i am trying to achieve: http://bruin.me.uk/node/93 This is the error that i get: -bash-3.2$ arp -s 192.168.1.81 00:c0:b7:cb:0e:e8 arp: writing to routing socket: Operation not permitted
  3. I sure this has been answered a thousand times but just want to make sure that i dont mess up my arrays data. Im currently on 5.0.5 and would now like to upgrade to 6.0b10a as it seems quite stable. The main purpose of my server is for media, i have PlexConnect and Plex Media Server running as plugins. When i upgrade i was going to use docker to replace these 2 plugins (obviously with their newer 64bit versions). My understanding is that in v6 the cache will need to be reformatted to a different file format, this isnt a problem but the PMS and PlexConnect databases are held on my cache, is there a way to back them up and then restore them so i don't have to rescan my whole media library? When i upgrade to v6 how do i assign my disks in the array so that i don't loose the data that is on them? With regard to my shares i will just redo these as they are a mess currently.
  4. I Run PlexConnect using this plugin with no issue at all. Make sure you install and change all the dirs to your cache drive as otherwise will wipe all settings on each reboot. Be aware that when you press upgrade it can take a little time so be patient. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33341.msg306949#msg306949
  5. Thanks for the info. Ive noticed quite a lot of users are using the beta, is it stable enough to move onto? I mainly use Plex and PlexConnect. Why are the transfer speeds quicker in unRAID v6b6?
  6. What kind of speeds do you achieve on average?
  7. Hi Just moved from freeNAS to unRAID. I have a HP N54L with 3x3tb HDD's as storage and i currently have a 250GB HDD as a cache drive, all 7200 rpm. Wired Gigabit network with cat6 cables. Without a cache i was getting around 20MB/s With a cache im getting about 40MB/s with the occasional peak at 60MB/s What kind of transfer speeds are people getting with a SSD as a cache? Why is it so slow? with freeNAS i was easily getting 80MB/s and often achieving 100MB/s with no cache drive.
