  1. Hi, Noticed that you have the Unifi AC Pro. Did you update to 5.10? Any Issues? The post at the top of this page complains of adoption issues. Wondering if you have the same.
  2. Hi, Can someone kindly analyse my results. I was only looking for the # of sectors pending re-allocation. But then I noticed some info under changed attributes just now. Anything I should be concerned about. This was a brand new seagate from newegg.ca bought during boxing day. I already put it in an array and dumped some data on it. Didnt have any issues doing that. If the whole .txt file is needed, i can upload. Thanks in advance. 3. Thanks. I will use preclear. Does it really take about 20 hrs per TB?
  4. Thanks itimpi. I was thinking of doing the copy over the network and then preclear using the WD lifeguard. But I might follow the step you outlined but only add one drive at a time physically into the UNRAID box and use teracopy. Thanks for the suggestion
  5. Hey Guys, Apologies if this has already been answered. If so , please point me to the right place. I am planning to move data from 3 x 2-BAY NAS. The HDD in the NAS are all Standalone and I hope to resue them. I have 2 x3TB and 4x 2TB. In my new UNRAID server, I have 2 x new 4T to begin with. One will be parity. Whats the best way to migrate data and eventually use all 6 old HDDs. Should I define Parity in the end after I have all the data along with the 8 HDDs in the sytem. Thanks for your time
  6. Regardless of IT or IR, I'd strongly recommend to flash the latest version (19) firmware. It does solve a problem applicable to this mobo. I also ordered this board recently. Will flashing to IT mode also update the firmware?. I plan on using this tutorial https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/flashing-the-lsi2308-on-an-x9srh-7f-to-it-mode.1734/ Also, for anyone who got the board recently, did it already have the latest BIOS? Believe its 2.0 now. I has read somewhere that i3 4th gen CPUs didnt work very well with the initial BIOS
  7. Believe they are the same microATX (sometimes referred to as µATX, mATX[1] or uATX[2][3]) is a standard for motherboards that was introduced in December 1997.[4] T http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroATX
  8. I was looking at the same MB and case. The case support Micro ATX. Do you have first hand experience with that combination?
  9. Thanks guys... To connect my hdd using the on board Sas, would it require different type of cabling like breakout? Or the usual data cables. Sorry I am not well versed in Sas.
  10. Hello everyone, My First post here. I am looking to build an UnRaid Server after a couple of my drives died in the last 2 months and I got burned. For starters, I will have 7 HDD but want space to grow to at least 10-12 HDD in total. The case I have chosen is the popular Fractal Design R4 with (8 internal bays and room for extra 4 internal using cages). http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352020&cm_re=fractal_design_r4-_-11-352-020-_-Product I am now looking for a motherboard that will be able to support 10-12 HDD Purpose The server will primarily be a storage solution but I will later add plex to it with maximum 2 simultaneous devices transcoding ability (mainly 720p but would like ability to do 1080p) The CPU i chose is the Intel Core i3-4360 Haswell Dual-Core 3.7GHz http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116993CVF Please recommend a couple of Motherboard that will have IPMI/ECC RAM and enough SATA ports to cover my needs. If possible, without the need to add any SATA controllers. I am in canada and may not have access to everything available in the US. Many Thanks in advance for your time
