  1. Hi Folks, The cache drive I inserted is fat32, shows as fvat in unraid. I'm unable to create a docker image on it, when I try it says: "Not starting Docker: failed to create image file." I'd like to reformat the drive or make docker work properly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  2. Hey Squid, thanks for clarifying. The directory is empty on my Mac. I created a test share, then copied and deleted a file. Unless there is something residual in there, any special tool to check?
  3. Thanks that worked.. now onto the next issue, how to I remove shares. I tried clearing the share name and applying those changes but the share name is still there? Also if you delete the share does it's contents automatically get deleted also?
  4. Hi Folks, I've just installed unRAID v6, and created a Movies share. I have a single disk, and I created two shares. I copied files to the shares via network, works great. Now under unraid I'm not seeing any of the shares? How do I delete a share? How do you create a sub share? I.e. Movies > Foreign Movies?

    Flash GUID

To use a registered copy of unRAID, whether the Plus or Pro version, the flash drive must have a valid GUID. A GUID is like a product serial number, but does not actually exist on the flash drive. It is constructed by the Linux kernel from the flash drive's manufacturer, product ID, and internal serial number. The foolproof way to check if your device has a usable GUID, is to download the UnRAID software, extract it to your flash drive (USB Flash Drive Preparation), boot unRAID in a test machine, go to the Web Management page (top of the UnRAID Manual), and just select/copy/paste the GUID from the Devices tab. If the last 12 characters of your Flash GUID are all zeros, then it does **not** have a serial number and you can **not** register it. You can also utilize a Microsoft utility UVCView.mspx from within Windows to determine the USB device's GUID (which consists of idVendor+idProduct+0000+iSerialNumber), but this is unofficial, and should not be used for registration. That's helpful, so the serial number needed is the last 12 digits of the GUID. Thanks.
  6. Hey i have the same MB, Asus P5B-E. Looking at building a unraid server from it, currently collecting parts. Does the P5B-E support 4 TB, 6 TB or 8 TB drives?
  7. Hi Guys, I have some older hardware, and want to build an unraid server. How would I know if the PB5-e motherboard support hard drives bigger than 2 TB? If there is a size limitation would a SATA controller fix that issue? Regards, Razz
  8. That does not sound hard at all, thanks. Also curious does unRAID spread the same file across multiple disks, or simply store one file on a single disk? Does it work the same way with or without a parity drive?
  9. Hi Folks, Wanting to create a new build with 3 storage drives and a SSD. The files are not critical, but I like to perhaps add a parity drive in the future. Is adding a parity drive in the future a hard task? Regards, Razz
  10. I'm looking at purchasing more than one plus licence key, is there a discount available?
