Hey, just bought one and there is not one single disk showing connected to this card. I think, with the new kernel it has a problem. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks a lot! BJörn

Good morning tdallen, thanks a lot for your reply. I see nothing but an error message when I try to connect via browser. No matter what I use, IP or name. Same on the WEBUI mode when I connect a monitor. Sadly, I am on a business trip this week. I will make a photo as soon as I am back home. BTW. the server gets an IP, shown on the monitor when booting up. So that might not be the issue. I will respond as soon as possible. Thanks a lot for your help! Greetings from Germany! Björn

Hey all, strange thing happened. Just prepaired a USB-Stick to check out a computer, but, I cant reach the webui. Not even if I use the "boot in UI mode". What did I miss, or what did I wrong? trurl, I am very sorry if I told bull...! The Problem exists only when I try to access my share via Windows Explorer. There was no Problem reaching the GUI. I can easily type in the IP in Firefox and it Shows my GUI. But, let´s say I try right click and make a new shortcut in Windows. Typing \\192.168.10.100 and it says, the adress doesn´t exist. But, if I type \\Heisenberg everything works well and the Shares on Heisenberg are showing. IP is checked and correct. I didn´t wanted to make any confusion. Sorry for that.

Thanks a lot itimpi, I ve just checked the current IP and it is still 192.168.10.100 as it was before. GUI is reached via IP without any problems, so I think it might be related to SMB or somewhat. Thanks again! bjoern

Hi to all, man, what great piece of software. Thanks a lot! But, maybe someone could help me. I installed the plugin to both of my servers. Backup-machine worked absolutely smooth. Main machine as well. One issue, which may be not related to the installation of the plug-in. I tried to reach my server using its IP. Usual for me, I´m always using the IP. But the server ist unreachable. Do I use its name, tadaa, server shows me its shares in windows explorer. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks a lot! Good point, but I am using dockers anyway, so no problem for me. Just for CP I wouldn´t use it neither. Rsync is a mighty way to do this. But I would miss the versioning feature. Or is there a way to do this with Rsync as well? I am not familiar with it.

Good morning, we are using crashplan and a second unraid machine. This scenario is free if you do not use the option, to backup to crashplan-cloud servers. Our most important data is additonally sent to crashplan. Of course, this is impossible with all the multimedia stuff, but our photos and documents and music is sent off site. This costs about 15 $ per month (and includes 10 machines to backup with no limit to the cloud). Crashplan supports versioning, so if a file is corrupt, you can replace it with an different version from the day before. Crashplan integrates perfectly in unRAID with the APP. This is our backup-solution and I sleep very well at night. : - ) Greetings from Germany! Björn

Good morning! I have a Little Problem. My 3 month old parity drive ( 4 TB WD RE) is showing reallocated sectors and I would like to rma it. I only have 2 TB drives in my Array. So the paritiy drive is too big. Can I Change it to a 2 TB drive instead of waiting for the new drive beeing returned? Sounds possible, but I am not too sure. Any tipps would be highly appreciated. Man, I make you wonder, you make me scared. Seems as if you are right. I really have no idea was is written to the server all day long. But, we are only two, my wife and I. Sure, I started the mover from time to time. I will have a close look to how this will develop. I´m clearly not sure what kind of data there is copied to this server. Crashplan, tonido, plex etc. and three VM´s. My wife uses the server to store there work stuff on. Not so much data I guess. I will keep you posted on this. First thing I did was to change the mover settings to daily. Now I will change the chache settings to write data directly into the array and not to use the cache drive. Ok, that makes sense. It was not my Initial Transfer, but the mover was indeed set to move every 4 hours, even though there was nothing to move. It is not that much data which is daily added to my Baby. Should I switch cache disk off for my data share? Could that help? Tahnks a lot for your help!
