  1. I just installed the plugin tonight on 6.3.5 and had the same issue. Deleted files would not be logged or put in the recycled folder. I tried stopping/restarting the array but that did not have an effect as well as stop/starting the recycle bin on the settings page. Running the ` /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/recycle.bin/scripts/configure_recycle_bin and running samba restart twice /usr/local/sbin/samba restart Got it working for me too. I do not know how to find the /etc/samba/smb-shares.conf file so I do not know if the recycle bin entries were in it or not. I'm happy it's working now but wanted to let you know that it didn't work without manually running these commands. My setup is fairly simple with only a few plugins: CA Auto Update Applications CA Backup / Restore Appdata CA Cleanup Appdata Command Line Tool Community Applications Dynamix System Buttons Dynamix System Information Dynamix System Statistics Dynamix webGui Recycle Bin Useful Links
  2. Thanks @saarg. I did find a video on how to convert a macOS SeaBIOS to OVMF. Seems like it should be almost as easy as copy/pasting the <os> section. I've tried that. The VM does boot but only to EFI Shell. I tried running the fs1 commands to no success. Any suggestions, or should I open a new topic in the VM forums?
  3. Well, if something happens and I can't get to webgui ssh (putty) into unraid. Now, as it stands, I do not even have access to the cmd line which I would assume would be needed in order to try to fix whatever broke. I'm fine with having convert my VNs to OVMF, but, I be darned if I could find any guides or documentation.
  4. WOW, that is pretty harsh. I wish there were red flags in the UI when creating VMs warning of such a data loss risk. One would think at least booting to safe mode would get you to the terminal. I searched for a guide on how to convert SeaBIOS to OVMF but could not fins anything. Do you know of any links you could share?
  5. So, I have researched this the best I can... I'm guessing as long as I have VMs with SeaBIOS I will never have local access to the terminal. Is that correct? What would I do if I needed local terminal access because the unraid webgui didn't load? Is everything lost then?!?
  6. I can not boot to the command line or GUI on the local unRaid machine with the attached monitor and keyboard. When booting, the boot selection options are shown, I can choose any of the options. Choosing command line or safe mode the screen starts showing the boot messages but seems to stop at random spots. unRaid does continue to boot, the screen just is no longer updated. The same for GUI mode, though it stops with a blinking cursor. UnRaid does boot fine as I can access the web GUI just fine, start my one docker and run my VMs. I know this did work just fine on 6.1, but have not tried it since upgrading to 6.2 a couple months ago. So, is this an upgrade issue? I did find this in the docs: https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Manual_6#Assigning_Graphics_Devices_to_Virtual_Machines_.28GPU_Pass_Through.29 I do have several VMs setup with SeaBIOS but none are set to auto start. This seems like what I am experiencing but, this happens on a fresh boot with no VM ever being started. Does merely having a VM configured with SeaBIOS cause this??? With 6.1 I had the same VMs but could still access the local terminal (until I started a VM). Or am I remembering incorrectly? If this is how it is supposed to function, what would I do if I could not access the web GUI, SSH, etc??? I've attached my diag logs. Thanks in advance for any assistance! server-diagnostics-20170105-1555.zip
  7. I thought I'd ask before I try ... Can I run a VM where the vdisk is stored on the array instead of the cache pool in 6.2? I ask because my cache pool is over 70% full due to VM vdisks. I have several which I only boot into once in awhile and only for a few minutes. So performance is not an issue for these. I also have a couple which serve as my "template" for creating new VM/s. When I need a fresh VM I copy the xml and vdisk image to create a new VM from it rather than using it directly. So performance is definitely not an issue for these as they are only ever booted directly once in while to apply updates which is generally before I create a new VM from a copy of it. And, if moving the vdisks to the array is fine... can I simply use mc to move the image file and then update the xml to point to its new location?
  8. Splashtop is pretty darned nice. A lot like RDP. I like that I actually have sound when I'm in the macos VM now.
  9. using the webvnc the cursor will always be out of sync unfortunately. With tight vnc make sure the screen sharing is enabled. I dont use either. I use splashtop desktop http://www.splashtop.com/ the free version works within your own network. It works very well and works with mac, win, and linux. Ahhh... that was it. Sort of. I was using TightVNC and connecting to the web vnc IP instead of the screen sharing IP. I saw that you were using splashtop and I will be checking out. I have installed on my machine but the cursor sync was so bad i was not able to do much in the VM. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
  10. I just updated to 6.2 which had a working OSX VM under 6.1.9 (perfect working). I was able to use the XML from the download to get it working again but the cursor is horrible out of sync. Takes quite a bit of patience/trial error in both the webVNC and TightVNC. The webVSN never synced correctly but TightVNC did. Any idea on what I need to do to get this fixed?
  11. So... I want to update but I can not find any instructions anywhere on what exactly the procedure is for backing up a VM. Can someone in the know please provide a link? Or, the instructions? Many thanks in advance!
  12. I went to copy a file to a share and Windows threw an error about not being able to connect... so I went straight the the webgui, but it would not load. I tried to ssh/telnet in but could. Infact Unraid was no longer on my network according to an IP scan. The computer itself still seemed to be running because I was able to still access the motherboard's webgui (MergePoint® Embedded Management Software) even though the screen and keyboard on the server itself was unresponsive. So, when no other options available that I am aware (I'm a noob) I hit the reset button. Unraid to reboot fine but very, very briefly show a large red message about log files being full??? I have no ideas what this means. Could this have been the cause? of Unraid failing? If it is, is there a way I can clear whatever log need cleared. I've attached the diag zip. The only other pertinent info I can think of adding is that the Unraid has been running for a couple weeks without a hiccup and there were two Windows 10 Pro VM running. They were not doing anything, meaning not automated processes. Basically they are fresh installs of Win10 that I setup a couple weeks ago to start transitioning my workstation to. server-diagnostics-20160415-1356.zip
  13. New user here... I've unRAID setup and it's running great. Pretty easy! I'm starting to set up VM/s, Docker with the associated User Shares... I'm not using the beta. I am on version 6.1.9, but I want to setup my shares to match the auto created share structure in 6.2. I'm certain I have the shares set up correctly but I can not figure out from reading this forum thread of what exactly would be saved to the libvirt folder in the system share. My best guess would be the virtio drivers for Windows... but I'm hoping someone can clue me in on what exactly this folder will be used for so I can setup to match the default setup of 6.2.
