  1. As the post says I followed this guide to set up the Wireguard and it works as intended, when outside my home network when I activate the VPN my IP address is changed to my home IP address. As far as I am aware this means it works. However, if I try to access the server UI or any of the containers it just doesnt connect. This make sense as I have it set to remote tunneled access which means it cant assess the local network. I then tried to make a second peer this time set to remote access to LAN but now it does not connect. Not sure what setting to check or where to go. The whole reason I wanted this was so that I could manage my containers remotely. Here is my set up, the top one called Laptop is the that does not work and the Tunnel Only does. The only difference is that I can see is the working one has a peer DNS server set to host subnet but I don't think that is needed for the other to work. I have also tried following the guide posted here and the config looks the same so I don't know what is wrong.
  2. On that note of waiting for later kernels, is there a site or way I can track and see if transcoding support has been fully added? On some of the other post I see mention that Linux kernel 15.16 should have additional support for transcoding and I see some sites say that "Intel’s upcoming Alder Lake S graphics support is complete and stable, it seems, in this release. It is not experimental anymore from this Kernel version, and it is not hidden behind the force_probe switch anymore. It is enabled by default." Would that include support for transcoding or just mean it wont crash the sever which it already doesn't cause the server to crash, except when transcoding. Site that mentions Alderlake support: https://www.debugpoint.com/2022/01/linux-kernel-5-16/ So I guess my questions are: Is there an easy way to see when transcoding with Alderlake is supported? (On the Linux kernel itself.) How long generally speaking does it take for Unraid to move onto the next kernel? I see that 6.10.0-rc3 has the 5.15 kernel. Once support is added should I remove the force probe or does it not matter? Thanks for all your help.
  3. Yeah, not sure if you got a chance too see my post with the error logs but what happens is it starts to transcode and works fine for a few minutes then the igpu dashboard shows it stuck at 100% and the whole server becomes unresponsive. The CPU also starts going to 100% core by core according to the dashboard widget.
  4. Is there something particular one should look at/for to know if iGPU support for UHD 770 transcode has been added. I understand it takes time and then even more time to be added to Unraid. For example if I look at a site for the release note of 15.15 I dont really understand what I am looking at, where would I look in the release notes of 15.16 or any Linux kernel release notes to know if support has been added. https://www.linuxcompatible.org/story/linux-kernel-51527-released/ https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/diff/?id=v5.15.27&id2=v5.15.26&dt=2 Right now I am just waiting for support which is fine but would like to know how to check if support has been added. I do see under the 15.15 ther are number of drivers/gpu/drm/i915 would that be what I would look for in a 15.16 more of them? Thanks

  6. So I tried adding syslinux and it does not seem to be working, do you know if blacklisting i915 would work any better? I am not sure what the difference is, does it cause different drivers to be loaded? Or would it just be better to wait for the Kernel and then unraid to support it down the road, would support be noted in the release notes?
  7. So I tried these steps and got hw transcoding working for about 10 min then it crashed and hung the entire server. Can someone help make sense of the crash logs. I have google to no luck at least with anything that makes sense to me. tower-diagnostics-20220314-2015.zip syslog
  8. Thanks wasn't sure if it had to go under a specific heading to work.
  9. So I made the change, silly question since I made the change under the Unraid OS GUI mode does that mean I need to boot in GUI mode? I have just been booting it in Unraid OS mode.
  10. Thanks for the example it helps alot. So just to be clear your kernel parameters for acpi_enforce_resources and the isolate cpu are not related to fixing this problem right I just need to add the i915.force_probe=4680. Then I reboot and it should generate the folder and work? Is this similar to the solution added the kernel parameter i915.alpha_support=1 found here where the dev/dri wasn't present. This is separate from blacklisting i915 and if this didn't work, I should go the blacklist route then I would remove this parameter? Then edit /etc/modprobe.d and add blacklist-i915.conf? Do I need to create this file becasue I don't see it in the directory etc? Sorry I did know if I should be info dumping all that info on this thread or not.
  11. To do the first one in terminal I type "echo "i915.force_probe=4680" >> /syslinux.conf"
  12. So I recently upgraded from a 6700k to a 12900k because I wanted to get Hardware transcoding on my plex server and was told that the older CPU would not support this. Got the new system build but I can't seem to get integrated graphics to be detected. I started with this tutorial: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/77943-guide-plex-hardware-acceleration-using-intel-quick-sync/ and immediately rand into a problem where No such file existed So following advice from here https://forums.unraid.net/topic/92858-error-bash-cd-devdri-no-such-file-or-directory-plex/?_fromLogin=1 I installed intel gpu top, but that didn't change anything. I next went into the MSI bios and set the Initiated Graphic adapter to IGD and rebooted and still nothing On checking the directories I can see that dri does not exist in the dev. I did see some comments about needing to white list drivers but that is after the system detect an iGPU and generates the dir directory correct? (Advice found herehttps://forums.unraid.net/topic/103434-69-devdri-is-missing/) Looking at my system devices I see a VGA compatible controller but I am unsure if that mean it is see the iGPU or not, I dont see anything that say using i915 kernel. I did see some post saying that the new intel cpu are not supported the 11 and 12 gens. I figure development will take a while would it be better to just put this on the back burner until whenever that is. Any help would be appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20220118-2258.zip
  13. Would that be within the bios itself? I have a 12900k and a MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4. I went in and change the msi settings and changed the initiated graphic adapter to IGD. But I am still getting the error. I also tried installing intel gpu top and got "No device filter specified and no discrete/integrated i915 devices found" error
  14. So I tried that but am still getting the no such file error.
  15. Thanks, that is what I thought, shame you cant just select first day.
