  1. Have been seeing a lot of Moonlight streaming of games using raspberry pi. Can we stream a desktop on an unraid nas when we assign a Graphics card to it using VT-D? http://moonlight-stream.com/ Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  2. Saw this article, using Ncomputing. Do we have any opensource alternative? http://www.techrepublic.com/article/windows-10-desktop-on-the-raspberry-pi-ncomputing-launches-99-rx300/ Or is this even possible? Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  3. Hi. I'm using Sonarr, NZBGet, Couchpotato docker apps. Sometimes, I have to download via torrent on separate desktop on network, and have to move files to folders on the cache for Sonarr Drone factory, or CouchPotato monitored folders to be included into the system. When I do file transfer, I cannot access NZBGet, Couchpotato, and other apps. I'm using Core i3 2120, with 8 GB ram, and using Supermicro board with Intel Gigabit NIC, and Gigabit switch. My source, Desktop, is using Realtek Gigabit NIC. Where do I start addressing this problem? Memory usage is at 80%, I assume because of my docker apps. Is it because during file transfer, my CPU utilization is affected? Hence Interface not accessible? I have to wait till it finishes transfer before the page will load. My MB has 2 NICs though, and haven't tried teaming. I don't know if it's easy or not, hence haven't gotten to do it yet. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks
  4. So does this mean I should quickly move out of v6.1.9? If there's no bug, I would be able to see original assignments of drives?
  5. Great! Again, thanks guys (Frank1940, trurl, johnnie.black)! You mentioned single parity, why? Is there an option for dual parity now?
  6. Understood. So I assign all 3 units of 3 TB as data drive, and see which doesn't mount. It's the Parity. After doing so, how do I go about with the rest? 2X 2TB, 2X 3TB?
  7. I have 3 units of 3 TB, 2 units of 2 TB. It is logical to choose from the 3 units of 3 TB. But no idea which is which. Are you saying I just assign randomly drives, and start it?
  8. Sorry I don't have access to the unit mentioned. But if it's there? What's the next step?
  9. Hi! I'm helping a friend with his unraid. The condition I saw when I arrived to take a look is, all drives are unassigned. Clicking Identify doesn't actually identify the drives. I attached diagnostics here, hoping it will shed some light. Please help. I'd hate to re-configure all drives all over again. allan-diagnostics-20161203-2049.zip
  10. Thank you trurl, appreciate helping me look into this Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  11. Hello trurl, my unraid is set to start array upon startup. I stopped it, and got the diagnostic file. See attached please. BTW, I also used connections from known working drives, and have it interchanged, just to be sure it's not the physical wire. As you can see here, it's still the same drive that's defective. tower-diagnostics-20161203-1021.zip
  12. Hello all. I've tried using NoMachine, TurboVNC from Windows into my VM in Unraid. Unfortunately, NoMachine's performance isn't to my liking. As for TurboVNC, I don't have any audio. I read somewhere that xrdp and tightvnc is needed. I have both installed. Yet, I don't have access to my virtual machine via microsoft rdp. Can anyone point out how to do this? Thank you.
  13. Hello. My disk 4 still shows and "X". So far, don't know what to do next. Attached my diagnostics file here. tower-diagnostics-20161130-1218.zip
  14. Hello all. I added the unassiged drive back to array, and selected "Start will start Parity-Sync and/or Data-Rebuild. " Hope this goes well. I remember previously adding the drive back, but clicking the button on the upper right, using Dynamix Interface. By selecting Starting Array on the Dynamix Interface, I don't recall it triggering Parity-Sync or Data-Rebuild. This time around, I started the array using Unraid's default interface. Will report back how it goes.
  15. trurl, Great! Thanks! I still have it lying around. Haven't touched it yet. I'll put it back and post back in here.
  16. Hello Frank1940, noted on the disk to disk. After moving files off the drive, and removing the drive itself, how do I prevent it from showing Not Installed?
  17. tdallen, trurl, I saw somewhere that says emulated. Though now that I'm looking for it, I cannot find it. Sadly, I don't have any plans to replace the defective drive. So Drive 4 will be "Not Installed" for now, while I have Drives 5 and 6 intact. I was hoping by maybe doing a parity check, it will move these temporarily emulated drive/ files to free spaces on Drives 5 and 6? Trurl, before I removed the drive, I removed it from the array, and did a format, or pre-clear, I forgot. Then joined it once again on the array, and still gives me the same error. I forgot what the error showed already, but I understood it to be that It's a defective drive. See attached Diagnostic. tower-diagnostics-20161129-2017.zip
  18. Hi, 1 of my disks, Disk 4 turned defective. I initially changed it to "Not installed", but I can still see the drive in Main/ Array Devices. When selecting the drive in Windows File Explorer, I can see the files. I thought I should remove it from Unraid, before the files get moved to other drives. So I did. Up to now, I can see drive in Main/ Array Devices as "Not installed." I can still see files in Windows File Explorer. Why is it so? How do I remove the "Not installed" in the Main/ Array Devices? Change my Disk 5 to Disk 4? Change my Disk 6 to Disk 5? If so, it shows error. BTW, after removing the drive, the Parity didn't start checking also.
  19. Hi. Someone I asked for help here suggested to us No Machine so I can have my VM produce sound even though I didn't have a sound card. But from experience, No Machine's performance isn't better than Turbo VNC, but, no audio. Someone else suggested Splashtop, but I don't think there is any support for Linux 18. Should the target VM have Spashtop installed as well?
  20. Want to ask if discrete video card is needed? Will core i3 suffice?
  21. You are right. It was set to vibr0. Which settings do I actually change? Inside the VM? Or under Unraid Settings/Network? Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
