Someone's gaming, I'm streaming to Android Box, without issue, and another is streaming to iPad, where there are issues with 4K downloaded content.

Thanks. From what I've read, able to play Hevc content doesn't mean it can transcode as server well. I read this from Emby forums. They suggest using an old Samsung cell S7, S8, because of Mediacodec. Though read posts that it finally became very frustrating for the tester, and ended up giving up :-)

@SirReal63I'll check this out. But to be honest, I'm looking at the SBC route. This takes load off my nas, and is relatively inexpensive, and should consume lower power. Though not sure how snappy @Lolight's suggestion is.

Have you tested this? What OS? Emby server for Arm? Or what? Is it responsive? I prefer this route, as SBC is relatively inexpensive, takes the load off my nas.

My current build is Xeon E5-1650 v3, on Supermicro X10SRM-TF. It's somewhat perfect. I have a 1050Ti passed through for use on gaming vm. With GPUs so expensive, I don't want to buy a video card right now. I toyed with the idea of having Emby server on a single board computer. Having Emby server on SBC accessing shows on my NAS. But I don't know which SBC is capable of having hardware transcode enabled. Can anyone suggest?

So far, data isn't that critical. After rebuild, do you think I should retire the Parity already? I can see some crc errors. But I'm already using new cables that look pretty decent. Is this still cable issue?

While rebuilding, I already noticed 6k errors in my Parity drive, it's only been 3 hours. Don't know if it's still worth it to continue? What should be my next step?

Isn't it supposed to work immediately when I replace my cable? Since connection was restored, and no re-assignment of other drives? Since I didn't replace drives, how do I change status of disabled to enabled, and allow it to rebuild?
Noted on the cache disk. Indeed, my docker containers stopped working. I was wondering why. While replacing the cable, I pulled on the SATA cable of my cache drive. Went back to reseat the SATA power, it works normally now. Thanks!

I just replaced my cable. My HDD still shows up as disabled. It's no longer in unassigned drives though, unlike before I replaced the cable. What does this mean for my drive? I'm attaching my diagnostics.

Noted itimpi. But sata link problems mentioned by John_M is cable related, correct? I assume he is pertaining to crc error?

So the current cable could be the culprit still?

Disk 3 is the one that is disabled currently. And here I thought there is only 1 drive that has reallocated sectors. Turns out more than 1. By myself, where do I check and keep tract of reallocated sectors? Does it need to be through exported diagnostics? Or What term do I search for in Smart disk info?
I was informed by JorgeB in my earlier posts that my cable may be the culprit. I did replace it with one that was lying there. Could it still be the cable problem? I have bought another as spare. Could it still be a cable problem that's why Disk 3 was disabled, and Parity produced errors?
Please advise what to do next.

Replaced my cable. Acknowledged the thumbs

I recall 1 of my drives have reallocated sectors. Not sure if the failed drive is the one. There is also error in my parity. Don't know why.

Yes, also note that the attribute doesn't reset, but as long as it doesn't keep increasing problem is solved.

When you say connection problem, do you mean cable problem? In another post, I mentioned that I encountered problem with drive, and you pointed out that cable problem. I did change the cable, and seems to work fine, except the thumbs down happened. Could this mean my replacement cable (2nd one) might have problems as well? I bought another new one, if needed to replace another.
If I do acknowledge it, and no more thumbs down happens, it means it didn't increase? If a new thumbs down happened, it means there are new changes?

UDMA CRC error count: 4Are these reasons for concern? I've used Seagate Tools to verify drive integrity, they did pass the long generic test, without LBA reallocation--can't recall the exact term. Out of 6, all but 1 had LBA reallocation. But I wonder why when connected to Unraid, I have 3 thumbs down, each with their own reallocated sector count...
I always thought it was just the HDD getting too hot, hence a thumbs down. Does this mean the drives are about to fail? I just recently bought them off ebay, a good deal. I'd hate to see them go without using it for a few years.

I first setup the VM using Q35-5.1/ SeaBIOS, via VNC. After finish installation, I shut it down, and selected RX560 graphics, and autio. It immediately boot up on my monitor, up to login portion. I tried to enter keys, and move mouse, neither will work. If I do start the VM without keyboard and mouse selected, it won't boot with graphics on my monitor. I have to use USB Hotplug plugin to detach, then attach my usb keyboard and mouse before it works. What could be the problem?
Edit: After a few seconds of attaching the USB, the VM hangs.
Edit 2: Reinstalled a new VM with Q35-5.1/ with OVMF with the same result. Upon finishing installation, shutdown vm, and passed through gpu. The monitor boots up, keyboard and mouse not working.
Tried several things, reverting to VNC, boot up, and everything is fine. Go back to passthrough, this time around, it doesn't hang. But nothing shows up in monitor. RDP onto the VM shows it doesn't have the GPU on Device Manager. Several consecutive reboots, still don't have the GPU in Device Manager. Tried installing AMD driver, but says GPU not found.
When revert back to vnc, and sometimes, when go back to gpu pass through, monitor turns on, reaches windows, and the whole cycle repeats again.
Edit 3: I have another Windows VM, used to be i440fx with GTX1080 card. Since I replaced my GTX 1080 with RX560, I edited the vm, and selected Q35. It started up, with display on my monitor, passthrough was working. But 1 minute after it boots into Windows 10, it hangs. Did this several times, with exactly the same results.
What more can I change to keep it from hanging?

I am trying to passthrough an RX560 GPU. I don't want to risk corrupting my existing vm, hence, am installing a vm from scratch to test out configurations. Would you recommend installation of Windows using VNC first? Or should I start with graphics card passed through right away?
Should I select q35-5.1 instead of i440? i440 doesn't even start.

I can now confirm that my Lexar#1, other USB devices that I plug to my Unraid were on Fat32. So used to be, I can use MC to do file transfer from NAS to these USB devices. I've recently upgraded to 6.9.2. Did this change any MC version? Kernel Version? Was this the reason why it isn't working now on Fat32?

I am very interested with this topic, though I don't own a Qnap. I am wondering why you need to breath new life to old Qnap with Unraid. I am looking to buy a Qnap.
What are the reasons?
If to use Docker, can you not run docker on a separate box, Intel NUC or Lenovo Tiny, and have it save data on the Qnap raid? I assume the Raid still performs as day 1 you bought the device? So that wouldn't be the reason.
