  1. Ok, so I’ve got a HP Gen 8 Microserver, which (as mentioned on the first page) has the Matrox GPU issue. I’ve installed a Xeon 1260L CPU in it, which has intel quick sync. I see that you have recommended using a Nvidia plugin for this scenario? Are there any guides to getting this working? Or am I out of luck? I’m using Plex (and trying Emby) for live Tv via HDHomeRun and when transcoding to play on firestick, I often see my CPU maxing out and playback stutters and freezes. It’s generally fine when I play on Apple TV (presume it’s direct playing)? Any ideas?
  2. Ok, so how do I do that? The last time I upgraded there was a button within unraid, I can’t find it this time? Stewart Edit. Found it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Nope, still no joy. Anything else you can think of? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  5. Hi, I'm trying to install Windows 10 in a VM, but when I press create, I keep getting the attached screen.....what am I doing wrong / missing? Thanks, Stewart
  6. I did have delugeVPN from binhex set up ages ago, via Spaceinvader ones video (set the whole server up using him), but I couldn’t figure out how to point it to my folder of files? I’ll need to give it a go again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Normally on my computer, I just load up the torrent file, point it to the folder and it scans what’s in there and only updates the files that are outdated. If I was to install a Windows or Ubuntu VM, would it have full access to the file system on the server? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Hi, I’ve got a folder full of files (MAME roms) on my unraid box, which I’d like to keep up to date via torrent. Id like to install a torrent client on my unraid box, which will scan the folder and only update the necessary files. I can easily do this on windows or mac, but would like to keep everything contained on the server. VPN would be handy if possible? Any ideas? Stewart
  10. I’ve currently got my server running unraid, with Plex and Sonarr running on it, however, the only time we use it is in the evenings, and all the downloads are scheduled to take place at night. Is there anyway I can set an auto timer to turn on and off (and start the array) at certain times - trying to save a bit of electricity! Thanks,
  11. I’ve just had a thought. Ive just moved house and moved from Sky broadband to BT broadband, so could it be a router / ip / firewall issue? Just had a look, the sky router was on 192.168.0 and the BT Router is on 192.186.1 so that could be the confusion? Fixed it. I had to change the IP address in sonarr to match sab’s new IP address.
  12. I’ve had unraid running with sonarr passing downloads to sabnzbd for a while, and it’s been working flawlessly, but suddenly sonarr has stopped being able to communicate with sab? I was going to paste the full error, but I can’t get it to paste on my phone. Anyone got any ideas? ill paste the full error when I’m on my computer
  13. Out of curiosity, how easy is it to downgrade in the event that something goes wrong?
  14. I’m also seeing this with my server. I had to hard reboot it, and I’m still unable to get in. I noticed that the IP address showing on my server screen when it says tower login: is totally different from what it used to be? It was 192.168.x.x and now it’s 169.254.xxx.xxx. Using this ip address to login doesn’t work, and neither does tower.local. Any ideas would be appreciated, i have ssh and telnet turned off so I can’t use them. Stewart
  15. I've made my shares private and turned off Telnet and SSH too. Hopefully should be set. Stewart
  16. I'm behind a Sky Q Hub, so possibly not the greatest router. Firewall seems to be activated on it, so hopefully that should be good. I don't have any ports forwarded. Attacks from the internet would be my concern.
  17. I'm just looking for some tips on how to make sure that my unraid setup is secure from external sources? I have set a complicated password to my root account, and have setup a user account (I can't seem to login to the web interface using it though - is this normal), set all my shares to private, with access only to people I want to have access. Is there anything else I need to do, or can do to ensure its secure? I'm planning on storing some family photos on there - so want to ensure that its as secure as I possibly can. Thanks, Stewart
  18. I don't suppose anyone can help with this?
  19. Is there a way I can symlink from incomplete to the folder that the actual files are in? I don't really want to have to move them every time as its over 100Gb.
  20. Oh, I was advised to put it in here? I have Binhex's DelugeVPN actually, not just Deluge. Ah, so I need to point data to where the actual files are?
  21. Hi, I've installed Deluge with the /data/ path pointing to /mnt/user/downloads. However, I would like to use it to keep my Mame roms up to date, however, my mame roms are in /mnt/user/media/Roms/MAME 0.190 ROMs (non-merged) - which I will manually change to MAME 0.191 (0.192, 0.193 etc) when new ones come out, so when I open the torrent, I want to point it to that folder, so it can scan it and download the changed / updated ROMs. Is there anyway I can do this with my current setup, or would I need to point the /data/path somewhere else? Cheers, Stewart.
  22. Can anyone help with this? Should I maybe start a new topic?
  23. Thanks for all the replies! They've been very helpful. Now I have another question, I've installed Deluge with the /data/ path pointing to /mnt/user/downloads.
