My array is made up of SSD's however I do not have a parity drive in yet so my question is 2 fold. 1) am I truely getting ssd performance out of the ssd's when in the array vs mechanical HDD. and 2) If I am getting a performance boost by using SSD would be using a HDD for parity restrict that performance down to HDD level because of it? Its just that a 8tb SSD would be like a million dollars so to get a HDD 8tb is reasonable.

I bought the shelf for 8 - 10tb drives, others I have spoken to said it will work for atleast 8tb that is why I bought it so I will update when i get it working with the hardware I am using and what works

I am trying to get mine to work. I have a ds4246 and a Netapp SFF-8436 Linux Server PCIe Quad PT SAS Card. I can not get it to work. I can see it as a PMC card in equipment but it never shows NETAPP in the System Log, I can see that it shows the 4 different BUS ports on the card but doesnt show as Netapp and will not read the drives.. can anyone help?

Thank you, that was actually fairly easy. I was using the linuxserver release after changing from this release and since then I have had so many people complain of Xbox plex streams freezing and buffering. Never had that issue with binhex.. I dont think its the P2000 causing it soo.. guess I will wait and see..

Is there a simple way to get a P2000 to work with this verison of Plex? The linuxserver version has line in the setup for nvidia... i couldnt find a doc on how to edit this verison to make it work with HW. can anyone help?

So this is the command I am using to download files from my Gdrive to my server again since im ditching Rclone/Gdrive. Is there something I can add to this command that would limit the speed it is downloading. Like to add a download speed limit. When I am downloading free since I have a 1gb connection its killing my plex traffic. " rclone copy Gdrive_StreamEN:Secure /mnt/user/Media/_Temp/rclonemove/ --ignore-existing -v "

I have just exhausted rclones last chance on my system. I have had nothing but issues with it for over 6months. Again with absolutely nothing changing on the system. plex/unraid totally freeze when scanning the library that points to rclone/gsuite to the point I have to hard reset the server. Both Unraid and plex have been updated and plex has been reinstalled about 100000000000000000000000 times but it still happens ONLY when scanning through the mount.. I have had an absolute enough and am not giving this terrible system any more chances. What I am looking to know is what is the best method to download my data back to my hard drives? When I used Krusader it Fked up half my files and I had to redownload them. I have the string to upload to gsuite with terminal but I can not put a Download string together to download. Anyone able to help?

Ok so I have fixed the missing Icons at the top of the screen when I open plex but here is what I am now experiencing.. Ever since this happened I Plex randomly spikes one of my cores to max 100% and after about 30 minutes unraid totally freezes and needs to be hard reset again. I updated unraid to the most recent release along with using the newest Binhex plex release yet it keeps happening. always one core and its random gets hung at 100% and freezes out plex.. is there any way to see how/what from plex is causing it to spaz out like that?

so this started happening with This recent updated of Plex.. It is missing all the buttons.. I have removed and reinstalled about 100 times.. still missing.. HELP!!!

this last binhex release has completely broke my plex. WTF Edit. Looks like a new update released 9 MInutes ago.. Hope it corrects this. Edit. The update has seemed to correct the Settings issue*

Can someone answer me this question. Since using Rclone with my Plex/Unraid server. I have noticed an overwhelming amount of RAM usage even when only 1 stream from my Rclone mount is in use. I have 24GB of RAM. Only dockers are Plex, Filezilla (Which is off) and 2 VMS ( Also Off) and usually I am at about 30-40% used but it seems when someone is streaming from the mount, It shoot up to high 90% even with just one stream. Is there any way to use my SSD as a cache for Rclone instead of my RAM? or would that not work.. Thanks.

hey everyone. I've been having an issue with Rclone for a month now. It comes and goes but none the less is so annoying. With much help form this community I was able to get rclone to work. I have been sending files to it regularly and I use it with Plex but here is what is happening. With this in mind. Nothing has changed with the scripts, OS, or Rclone Ever 2 days I lose the mount and can no longer connect to Gsuite. The only way to get the access back is to fully restart the server. Running the unmount and mount again fail to fix it. Now it is possible my unmount script is bunk but still.. I lose the connection all the time. I thought maybe it was an api issue or maybe I was using to many connections to the gsuite drive but I am not uploading to it at the time and I only have maybe 5 or 6 connections to it from plex.. Can anyone shed any light on why this might be happening or what I can do to try to stop it. I think its a great service but this is driving me nuts and im borderline going back to using hard disks. they are just less hassle. Thanks in advance. .

I will primarily be using the copy command. I see you are using the source starting at /mnt/, that is very helpful. Now in the documentation on the site it showed the first command in an Rclone copy as Source:Source path... Im not sure what to replace the "Source" with.. I understand the path now but what would I change the word source with before the : so where the ** is what would I put here based on the format Source:Sourcepath Dest:Destpath

Source:Source path.. would it look like Unraid:/mnt/user/Media/TV Shows/ . ? the destination would be Gsuite_Stream:Secure. like I wish they would have put an example of what it should look like not just what the criteria is.

Now that I am trying terminal to move files instead of krusader.. i was reading the Rclone.org site and I see that it is providing a command "rclone copy source:sourcepath dest:destpath" . so I am in need of some help with the Source;Sourcepath.. my files found in users/media/files/ . Im not sure what to put in as "Source:" the dest I am assuming is my Gdrive:encrypted:/ . I guess I am looking for the proper way to form to the source command. or atleast an example of what it should look like. Thanks.
