  1. it seems to fix the problem, going to do a bit more testing but its looking good so far
  2. Just replaced the ethernet cord, Going to do a few test to see if its work
  3. I might be complety wrong with this but, I when you say NIC i assume a ethernet port connected to a pcie, which I don't have. I am connected directly to my mobo so i assume it a mobo issue?
  4. Ok now its not even detecting the vdisk anymore
  5. So my unraid is being really buggy and it seems to freeze for like 10 secs at a time and I have no clue what it could be. So a few things I just moved to a new place so I phyically moved my server, I really hope nothing was damaged as part of this My parity failed and my i fucked up the recovery so I lost that One drive failed, which I just did made a new config and just removed it because i thought that was causing the error One of my VM is pointing at a file which i can't find but it can still access The VM still runs and everything but i just can't seem to find the file I hope I really didn't fuck my the system that bad with this. tower-diagnostics-20241014-1202.zip
  6. I have tried a new USB, still same thing, I am at this point assuming its CPU problems. I got to a screen once where it was cpu checking or something
  7. So my unraid crashed last night and i havn't been able to bring it up. It freezes at one of two points. It freezes after unraid give me the options to pick from safe mode, gui mode, ect. and the other time is while its loading up. Anyone have a clue why it isn't loading? other things i have tried to do, remove all compents besides, CPU, GPU, and RAM, CMOS reset, New USB.
  8. So I created a back up of the current usb and i reinstalled unraid on it, setup alot of the setting once again and i was able to connect the old way using \\tower\rootshare. So i am guessing something bonked a setting when my usb got corrupted
  9. I tried to map the the drive with the share name but it still didn't work
  10. Sorry i thought i replied you earlier, but by accessible do you mean by the server itself or by me? Any docker container seems to have access to files, aka plex. I can't access the shares with my windows computer I have tried the ipaddress sharename but i don't think it was working either, I can try again once I am home. I tried to access the share using a different computer as well but with no luck.
  11. Could it possibly be the USB at this point? after my usb drive said it fail, i made a backup and copied that to another usb
  12. I got this error when trying to make the shortcut
  13. I assume this is what you are talking about, I have tried setting it up but still cannot access it. Imma give this a look tonight and see if i can solve it this way. For the USB, I have multiple different ones crash or corrupt over the year. and each time i have backup and upload the files on the a new usb
  14. Ill try to delete them tonight when I have a bit more time, i have never touched any files on the flash drive so i hope i don't do anything wrong So here is the error i get when i try to access the folder i usually have it mapped to my z drive as a network drive, if that makes any sense. I have also tried to make a user and accessing that way, i get the same error as above
  15. As the titles says, my server had a error and i had to replace the usb drive, after that I couldn't access the smb share via the network drive i setup on my windows 11. I am currently on unraid Version 6.12.4. The way i originally set it up was using space invader's video I set it up using the public share. Sorry if something is hard to understand, English isn't my first language. Thanks tower-diagnostics-20230910-1934.zip
  16. So the easiest solution i found was just to switch to Q35. I couldn't just change it and it would give me a error but I just made a new VM with q35 as the default and the gpu passthrough worked Thanks
  17. Hi, I hope i posted this is the right section. To keep this simple, I was previously on 6.11.1 and had a VM with my gpu passthrough working and decided to update after seeing Space invader's new video after the update it bonked my VM and it wouldn't run. I created a new VM with windows 10 install on it where it would run fine with the virtual display drivers but once I passthroug my GPU it doesn't want to start. here is the xml for the vm <?xml Ok I think it was due to my GPU not being slotted in correctly. I reseated it and my logs are at 1%
  19. I Reseated my GPU which might have fixxed the issue, Ill leave this open for a few hours to see how sable it is
  20. Do I just removed my nvidia GPU out of my system, do I need to install this? for some context, i removed my 980ti and replaced it with RX 6800. I wanted to do some cloud gaming and was changing parts on my server. Thanks Also Sorry for the late reply, I fell a sleep after posting the post
