  1. If anyone could help me wrap my head around this, I'd be grateful. I'm using unRaid 6.8.2, pfSense 2.4.4-3 and Wireguard 2020.01.27 with a Huawai HG612 modem on a BT Infinity connection. I'm trying to get my parents setup with Wireguard so that they can access my file server. I've followed the setup guide for Wireguard, except for changing the "allowed IP's" to 0.0.0.0/0 (Seems to be the only way to get it to work). The problem is that when I use a DDNS address, it resolves to an incorrect IP address. I've checked this against the WAN address listen in pfSense. If I use the same settings on my mobile, it works perfectly and I can access my files. My current solution is to just use the current IP address but then I have to remotely connect every time it changes to make this change in their config file.
  2. Unless there is something specific you haven't mentioned, Dynamix Active Streams will do just what you want. It tells you what is being accessed and by who in real time.
  3. Thanks. I've tried every port on the board, both front panel and onboard with the same results. It's funny how Limetech suggests using a good quality USB drive and yet my crappy generic USB drive never gave me any problems ?
  4. Out of curiosity, what USB drive were you using? I have this exact same problem and the only way to get around it is to unplug the USB drive during boot when it comes up with "usb 1-1.2: device descriptor read/64, error -110" and then plug it back in again. It would then continue booting normally. I'm using a Sandisk Ultrafit.
  5. Personally, I don't think frills will be utilised. Unless there's a docker or plugin that I'm unaware of to give more flexibility to UPS users, The native capabilities are pretty basic, though I can personally say I've never had a problem with them. Check out the capture for this crappy old UPS I have laying around to give you an idea of the usage in unRaid.
  6. What is your intention for the UPS to be used for? To ride out the outage on battery or to safely shutdown until mains power is restored? If you want to ride out the loss of mains power, the BR1500GI will supply 500W for about 10 minutes which might be cutting it close. The SMC1500IC will give you about 23 minutes. Sine wave support is there for active power factor corrected PSU's so if you don't have a PSU that supports that, it's a wasted feature.
  7. Hello All, I have a really strange error that's coming up when I reboot/power on my server. While it's loading, when it comes to initialising USB devices, I get an error that says usb 1-1.2: device descriptor read/64, error -110. After that, other USB ports fail with error -71, then modprobe: FATAL: module bonding not found in directory /lib/modules/4.14.49-unRaid and then it cannot find device "bond0" and finally comes up with a random ip address. The only way I've found to bypass this problem is to unplug the boot drive when the first error comes up (line 763 in syslog) and plug it back in again. unRaid then boots and functions normally. I'd be very grateful if someone could help with this as I have to actually be at the machine if I want to reboot. I've tried different USB ports to no avail. Even a fresh unRaid install doesn't help. Thing is, this issue is recent and I've been using the same hardware for over a year now. This is all if it detects the USB at POST in the first place. Sometimes I have to power down, pull out the USB, plug it back in and then power up for it to be detected by the m/b. Also, weird taint issues coming up with pfSense if anyone fancies helping with that one too XD Phew. diagnostics-20180729-1432.zip
  8. Just spent the last few hours rattling my brain after watching part 3. My board (MSI P55-GD65) has 2 network ports so I was thinking I could use one for the connection to the internet and the other to my internal network but I just cannot get it to work. If you could suggest where I'm going wrong that would be mighty helpful. Awesome videos by the way. You're videos are the reason I'm using unraid at all. ?
