Can you point me to where/how to setup nextcloud backup? I have the appdata done via the ca appdatabackup for both mariadb and nextcloud dockers.

However anything special with nextcloud? or do I just backup the nextcloud share I made which would include it all?

I recently had a crash, and I restored from Appdata backup.  Everything, including usernames and p/w's, restored gracefully.

  2. I think Nextcloud Talk is fantastic, if you are on your own LAN.  I am wondering if anyone has a good step by step direction on how to get nextcloud talk going with a coturn server setup?  I know that there would be a lot of interest in order to make it so Talk works like it was intended.  Of course, I may be just having wishful thinking....

What do you mean "update bios of card"?

Or do you meant GPU drivers?

Note that new AMD drivers have been shown in some cases to cause issues with pass through so you might want to try an earlier version to see if it helps. Try something that came out in 2018. You need to access the VM through VNC to uninstall the current driver and then do a clean install of the older driver.

yeah, I meant the gpu drivers.  I am confused as to how to install the older driver from VNC.  If I download the driver, it will fail since it doesn't see the hardware...

Sorry, I don't use Coturn for Nextcloud Talk, so I won't be able to tell you how to do that. My suggestion is to look up other posts about this and try to find suggestions for how to set up your turnserver.conf. For example, this gudie seems pretty straightforward: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/howto-setup-nextcloud-talk-with-turn-server/30794

Here is the section of the Nextcloud docs where they talk about using Coturn: https://nextcloud-talk.readthedocs.io/en/latest/TURN/

thank you very much for your time!

  5. I have been running a VM for over a year, but today, I updated windows from 1809 to 1909 and the VM will not show when passing through graphics card. I am not sure if it is starting or hanging.   Attached are diags.  I am able to run VM through VNC with no issues.  I am stumped on how to update bios for card when I am not able to use the card in Windows.  Is there a way to update bios of card somewhere else?

    Any help would be appreciated!

  6. I have my server up and running, but now I am trying to make sure it is running correctly.  Need some detailed help on how to fix some of these and I am just not savy enough to find the answers.  Can someone help?  I am sure it would help someone in the future when they are setting up the server.

UPDATE:  Found the commands to take care of the database errors, but I can not find a fix for the background process's.

sounds like you might have a mishap with your LE and it pointing to your nextcloud container.  Double check LE configs and make sure it's pointed to the right port.

think you were right.  The original CNAME I set up was zosocloud.my-domain-name.org.  I was unable to figure out what I did wrong, so I walked through the configuration of the LE and NC files, one more time, with the same result.  After I failed, I changed my CNAME to nextcloud.my-domain-name.org and did the same configurations with the new cname and I was able to connect correctly.  There must be one of those configs that was looking for the default, nextcloud, and I don't know which one it is, but I am ok with the cname being Nextcloud... :)

  8. I have an interesting issue that I am hoping someone can help with.  I setup nextcloud using my hero, SpaceInvaderOne's youtube video and I have it running.  The issue I have, is that when I try to log in to nextcloud from my VM on my unraid server, I am getting the Unraid Login Screen.  Utilizing a laptop on the LAN, I can get to the nextcloud address perfectly.  Also, from the WAN, I am able to access easily.    Just for more info, I am doing the MariaDB, letsencrypt, and nextcloud dockers, I have a valid certificate in the logs of letsencrypt, etc.  Router port forwarding has to be correct since I am able to access on my lan (computers and android phone apps).  Hope someone has had this issue before and can direct what I need to do.  I know this is not a Nextcloud issue, but hoping someone has seen this during their install.  thanks.

Pool is full of checksum errors, you need to backup anything important and reformat, there are some recovery options here if needed.

So many errors suggest a hardware problem, btrfs doesn't do well with RAM issues, it would be a good idea to run memtest, also make sure RAM isn't overclocked, respect max speed depending on config:

when you say back up anything important, are you saying on the entire array or just on my cache pool?  I have not overclocked the RAM, but the bios did incorrectly identify the speeds and I did correct the speeds at one point.

  10. Started getting these last night, and the warning that unraid cannot write to cache.  I currently have 2 small SSD drives in a cache pool.  Appdata and VM's are backed up, but just wondering is this a bad cache drive or something else?  SDE is Samsung_SSD_860_EVO_250GB,  SDD is a 240GB SSD

I can't log in to mariadb using mysql -uroot -p.  I seem to have made an error during setup, as the password in my password manager (which matches what I have set for MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD) doesn't work.

Is there a way to reset the root mysql password?  Alternatively, can I just nuke my existing mariadb install but maintain my nextcloud database by backing up /mnt/user/appdata/mariadb/databases/nextcloud/ and replacing it after setting up a new mariadb container?

Not sure if this thread is monitored anymore.

when u install this docker its by default using local database, u can choose using maria or postgre on setup screen, i just switched from local to mariadb here ...

thanks for the quick reply.  If I use a local database, would there be service degradation issues?  any slowness?  I have about 3 users that are heavy users and then about 8 others that are occasional.

  13. Hi all

I have been using NC for about a year.  I followed SpaceInvader's tutorial to get it up and running.  I decided to do a complete reinstall as all files are backed up, and I wanted to tweek some things that I am not experienced enough to figure out from within NC.  I removed MariaDB, and NC, and also removed the appdata folders for both.  Now, I am unable to get MariaDB to install correctly, (posted over in that forum but I guess I am stumping people).  My question is, is there another way to install NC without using MariaDB that I may be able to do from my limited knowledge?  Seems like most walkthroughs use MariaDB.  Thanks for the help in advance.

Do you mean it appears to work normally for that short period, or is it not even working?

yeah, it was working normally, (nextcloud, plex, etc) and then it would shut down.  I found the issue and it appears to be up and running well again... .just have some minor issues with cpu scaling, etc... the bios upgrade really screwed me though...

  15. 6.8.0, was running perfectly, until I upgraded my bios on my MSI x470 Gaming pro (MS-7B78).  I am thinking that it put all options to default, and I cant even remember what I need to change in the bios.  any help would be much appreciated guys, I am extremely worried that I did something wrong.  It boots up, and holds for about 5 min, and then it locks and shuts down.

Ideas on what I can do to get some help?

The docker settings only maps the unraid path to the container path. You also have to set up the paths inside the setting of the app. There is no automatic setup for that, it's all manual.

thanks again.  I really thought that when a request came in on Ombi, there was a dropdown for the approver (admin) to be able to choose at that point, what path to put the request in.  I  don't have a screen shot at this time, since I reinstalled the docker container and I don't have any requests quite yet.  thanks again though, I will take a look around and figure it out in time.

I *think* @tidusjar meant the settings within Sonarr itself, not the docker settings for it.

thanks for the tip.  I compared Radarr settings to Sonarr settings in the apps, and I am not seeing any difference.  I thought that the paths were all set in the docker settings, which is how I have Radarr set up.

This is coming from sonarr, you need to setup your root folders correctly in sonarr.

the top screen shot is from Sonarr.... but here is another of the full paths in SONARR.  If this is not an OMBI issue, just let me know and I will post over there....

and then the individual setup for the /anime path...  No mention of "Stranger Things"

  19. Having issues with Ombi showing folders that should not be used as root folders.  This is happening only in the sonarr section.  I use Radarr also, but the media folders are correct in Radarr.  This area was correct for a long time and working correctly.

Setup window for media folders in Sonarr:

Root folder area in Ombi for Sonarr:

I have uninstalled Ombi completely, and started over, but the same result occurs.  Any ideas on how to pull the correct path over for my secondary folder?
