  1. So far so good. Back to 1 disk cache with xfs. However, are there any clean up commands I can use on both of my ssd disks(1 cache, 1 unassigned) to ensure no traces of irregularities? Thanks by the way.
  2. Just 1. Something is wrong, I knew as soon as i saw that balance output.
  3. So after a headache trying to remove a ssd from a cache pool, I am now having issues trying to do anything like balancing. Worst part is I cannot even change from btrfs to xfs on the disk. It just shows auto, btrfs, and btrfs encrypted. I thought xfs was suppose to be in there (which I want). On top of that, it's showing 1TB total free space when it should be half of that since I had identical drives. Right now running a balance gives output of: root@Tower:~# btrfs balance start -f -dconvert=single -mconvert=raid1 /mnt/cache Done, had to relocate 3 out of 3 chunks
  4. The problem is that with the 710, I am getting hanging and choppiness with just the OS itself. No video was even taken into account. Video is horribly choppy but I was just hoping to use the OS X VM for odd tasks I must have a Mac for. But given that onboard gpu had better performance this $60 I paid for this 710 looks like it was for nothing at this point. Once I have more free time I am going to try and figure it out, but at this point it seems OS X on Unraid may be hit or miss. Don't get me wrong though, Unraid has been a life savor since I moved from Synology.
  5. Yes, it's strictly for remote sessions. But I was hoping it would at least perform *better* than with on-board graphics. It's actually degraded in performance compared to on-board so I am thinking of just chucking the gpu. But I would hate it if it's something I am just forgetting to tinker with to get it to work right.
  6. So I have tried both a High Sierra and Mojava VM using SpaceInvaders guide. I passed through my Nvidia GT 710 gpu and have a Headless HDMI emulator plug on it to release it from any dependencies. For some reason though, terminal in Unraid shows MSI is not enabled. It shows "MSI Enabled -" instead of "MSI Enabled +" for this gpu. It also shows its being used by the VM. Reason I ask is becasue I noticed I get better performance from onboard video then the GPU I can assign to it. It's very choppy and I get no audio when passing through the 710. My Windows VM, on the other hand, can get MSI enabled with the MSI tool and resolves any issues for Windows. But alas, their is no such tool for OS X from what I perused on the net. Any advice?
  7. Is there a way to make sure the VM is using my GPU for Plex h/w transcoding and not my Xeon? Because the whole reason for this gpu was to offload some of the media workload to from my CPUs. Plex doesn't show which device is doing the transcoding.
  8. The drivers for my motherboard do not show any of my fans. Also, I can only choose one cpu in system temp plugin. I have 2 cpus in my server and would like temps on both. Anyway to resolve both of these issues? I wanted to use these plugins specifically for fan info and control. Motherboard: Gigabyte ga-7pesh2
  9. Hi guys, before I try this out I wanted to ask if doing this would still allow me to use the graphics card for all VM instances that I pass through the gpu on. And would Plex on Ubuntu still do hardware transcoding with the graphics card when I do this mod?
  10. Yup, that was the case for me. My next hurdle is that I cannot get my resolution to change from 1024x768 after doing a GPU passthrough. I'm stuck at that resolution even though my config.plist file for clover shows 1920x1080. I am suspecting its because my mobo BIOS has onboard graphics. Even though it's set to onboard in BIOS, its still stuck at that low resolution in Mojave Display settings and in VNC/unraid.
  11. I have the same issue. Converted Mojave dmg to img using dmg2img and can get through all the steps in SpaceIndavers video but do not see a OS X boot option after changing resolution and force stopping/starting. Made sure to use qcow and not raw and changed virtio network to apple compatibility one.
