  1. Bios updated, and unraid updated to v6.11.0-rc5. So far there are less log entries, but at this time only time will tell. Ill check back if i crash again. Thanks everyone!
  2. Im on the second to last BIOS version, ill run an update today. As far as the unraid version, is there anything else that i should try before upgrading again?
  3. SSD trim is daily at 23:00, no cache pools setup just a single 2tb SSD for cache and 3 UD SSDs
  4. Hey all, I have been experiencing crashes every 30 days almost exactly down to the hour. The only thing that was running on a monthly basis was CA Backup/Restore, but this is being run on the 2nd of each month and my crashes are usually around the 28th-31st of each month. About 17 days ago i updated from 6.9.2 to 6.10.3 in hopes of something changing by switching docker network type from macvlan to ipvlan. From most of the research that i could find and what was showing in syslogs this was my best path forward, since most of my kernel panics were pointing to macvlan issues. In this process i also did some cleanup of old and unused dockers, updated all my dockers and plugins and for the most part, everything has been running smoothly. Until today.... I was transferring some files from my cache drive to my main PC using a direct 10gb connection between the two. About halfway through the transfer stopped and all webgui connections were unresponsive. I checked the display connected to the server and i was able to navigate somewhat, and pulled open the syslogs and found a mess of messages being written faster than i could read anything. Luckily i enabled "Write syslogs to flash" and it was able to capture all this, but there is so much there that i need help deciphering it. Hopefully this is something that can be diagnosed before i pull the plug and start over from scratch. I have attached the diagnostics.zip from this crash, Looking through the logs, it appears that the issue started around 15:12:00 Today. Thanks in advance! thevault-diagnostics-20220918-1518.zip
  5. Did you change your MTU size? When i upgraded to 10gbe i had a very similar problem. Changing the MTU to 9000 or whatever is closest on both unraid and W10 fixed it for me.
  6. Hey all, Buckle up because this is going to be a long one.... TL;DR: If i have a cron script to reboot the server on a weekly basis, what happens if a parity check is running at the time the script should start? The reason for the TL;DR is for this reddit post i made earlier today, I had some decent feedback on what to look for for the crashing but haven't gotten an answer on the cron sript yet. So i figured now might be a good time to really dive in and see if anyone has any ideas for the crashing or if i should just keep doing what i have been doing. I have been using for about 2 years and some where along the lines i did something or something happened to where the server will randomly lock up. I have tried everything that i know of to try and troubleshoot it other than completely starting from scratch. The hours that i have put into all the docker containers, plug ins, and overall customization to make everything work just isn't worth redoing... At one point i thought that there could be an issue with one of my VMs running that was causing it to crash, so i stopped leaving my VMs running unless i needed them (Which is fine with me). This didn't seem to help other than lower my electricity usage slightly. I have scoured my log files before and after each of the crashes and nothing seems to stick out, and i cant seem to find any correlation to when, where, or why this is happening. What i DO know: Crashes happen about every 4-6 weeks, Different times of the day, different days Stopping my VMs doesn't resolve this C-States are disabled in bios and config/go This has happened with two different mobo/cpu combinations (First one was a R7-1700x on a A320 chipset) Using what i can see with TIG stack, it doesn't seem that there is an obvious change in resources or activity before the crash What i DON'T know: How to troubleshoot further without starting from scratch What is causing these crashes/freezes The fix: About a month ago i put in a user script to reboot the server once a week at a time that the server should be mostly idle. So far this is working fine. I haven't had any sort of freezing or lock up since. With this fix i'm concerned with the additional wear and tear on HDDs by them all spinning up at the same time every week. From what i know about HDDs there is a max limit to how many can be near each other for vibration reasons? (I think i read this somewhere?). I'm also concerned with other activities that would be running on the server at the same time that it would reboot, Such as parity checks, mover, yadayada... In the long run, if i cant fix the crashing i would rather just reboot the server to make sure it doesn't lock up in the middle of something important, it would be even better if i could slow the spin up of each drive, almost like cascade them? It would also be better if i could do a cron script to run every other week but i cant seem to find a way to do that. 7. Need help here... I recently updated to the newer version of DelugeVPN and im having issues downloading anything. I have my download directory set to mnt/user/DelugeDownloads and in deluge i have it set to /data I have also updated the openvpn files to match the nextgen config files. I have multiple torrents with active connections to peers but nothing is downloading. Before upgrading, this was working... What am i missing?
  8. Yup, everything works great! Except I don't have enough ram to run 5 maps at one haha!
  9. Thanks again @ich777 for all the help and the awesome work!
  10. This is what i did to get it working. It works outside the network too. Apparently i needed to add the ports into the params as well as reassigning the ports in the variables. Not sure if this helps but it worked for me!
  11. I tried to do the custom network and separate IPs but no matter what i did for ports, none of the servers were accessible from outside the network. Just FYI. Not sure what i did wrong but that was the result i got. Now im back to troubleshooting with everything on bridge network and not having much luck.
  12. Whelp i was wrong.... I still cant figure this out. I set everything up on a custom network and was able to run 3 servers at the same time on my LAN and connect between all 3. But when my buddy tried to get on, he couldnt connect to any of them. I changed all the ports to the following and he was connecting to my external IP using the UDP Steam port but his connection was timing out. I also forwarded all the following ports to the corresponding IPs. Im thinking that there is an issue not allowing external connections on the custom network? or what am i still missing?
  13. That's the config file i couldn't find... Ill use the game params method. That's impressive! Ark is the only one that i am using so far, but considering how easy it was to setup the first time, ill definitely keep an eye out for any others i need that are authored by you. This should get me on my way until i can get someone to test outside connectivity. Thanks again! You and your work are amazing!!
  14. Yo dawg i heard you like folders so we put folders in your folders so you can have folders in your folders... Like that? 🤣 Yeah i was able to connect and play on both, But i am also using the assigned IPs and both using port 27015 Sorry for the circular conversation here.... Im irritating myself so i can only imagine how you're feeling right now... You mention "in the config" are you talking in the docker template in the UDP Steam variable or a separate config file? If i use the Game Parameters variable then the addition to it would look like this? "?Port=27015" (Without quotes ofc) (Most of the servers i have set up are edited all in a config file somewhere and dont have to communicate with steam I.E. Minecraft) I really do appreciate all the help here, if there was a way i could show my appreciation other than throwing trophies at your posts i would!
  15. Will this hurt anything? I like having the additional directory layer. I dont know if anyone outside the network will be able to connect, but somehow both servers are running right now, and i havent changed any settings in the router. Both servers are visible thru steam and ark. As far as the steam port goes, do i only need to change that in the docker settings or is there a .ini file somewhere with it as well? That is the 20715 port right?
