  1. Hi All, Visiting an old thread! I have recently had problems with my UNRAID Server and it crashes and reboots without warning. I was looking to set up PRTG on a raspberry Pi (looks like they have an alpha for this at the moment). Did anyone ever set this up - or do you know if there are any UNRAID specific PRTG sensors?
  2. It just crashed again and i see nothing in the logs - My server runs a lot of my home automation and would be a real pain if I had to disable the dockers for a few days. Is there anyway in UNRAID that i can test things like the Flash Drive, CPU or RAM to see if there is any issues with them?
  3. Its crashed about 30 minutes ago. Turns out that I already had syslog set up! I have attached the syslog. I did notice that this time when it booted back up again it wouldnt boot into unraid. i have to unplug the flash drive and plug it back in, Ive never had to do this before. Could this mean that the flash drive is at fault? syslog-10.168.40.1.log
  4. Okay, i have set this up. Will upload the log next time it happens!
  5. Hello, I have recently been experiencing an issue where unraid will just reboot. The timings are not consistant, sometimes it will be up for days, other times for an hour. I hanvent changed anything in recent weeks with unraid. I have noticed that my UPS has an error saying i need to replace the battery, not sure if this is causing an unstable connection which causes unraid to reboot. Attached the logs ppnhost-diagnostics-20230512-1705.zip
  6. Thanks @JorgeB - My plugin for Fix Common Problems is telling me hardware issues have been detected and I should install mcelog via NerdPack. I have this item installed - do you know where it logs the issues? so i can take a look? Im starting to think that maybe my i9 just isnt the right CPU?
  7. Does anyone know if its possible to remotely execute a user script? Im looking to have Home Assistant remotely (using ssh) call a User script to stop or start docker containers when different things within the system happen (For example when someone begins to watch Plex - shut down my Tdarr Node - or when i have finished gaming on my Unraid Gaming VM - shut down my 3 core plex and start up my 5 core plex etc.
  8. You should see it attached to my last post?
  9. Hey, I have now had my logger running for a while and my system failed twice in the last two days - here is the syslog-10.168.40.1 (1).loglog. the system failed at approximately 14:17 on 12 April. Could you take a look and see if there is anything obvious?
  10. Hello, My unraid server keeps reporting on out of memory issues - which is odd as i have just upgraded it with another 16GB. It also has some Machine check event errors. is someone able to take a look at my log and help me understand what is going on? ppnhost-diagnostics-20210225-2031.zip
  11. Ah, thanks for the info - I have set up the Logger you suggested and will post back to this thread with the syslog when it next occurs. Thanks again
  12. Hi all, I have recently upgraded my CPU & RAM as i have started running a gaming VM on my server along with various docker containers. However i am now experiencing huge stability issues where my system will crash without noticed or reason. I originally thought it was because it was running out of RAM (hence the upgrade) but now im not so sure. Could someone take a look through my log and give me any pointers? Thanks! ppnhost-diagnostics-20210203-0948.zip
  13. I have done this in the past but i have found that the docker conainters (specifcly Plex) the runs loose and takes all the compute and prevents some of the other containers from running correctly.
  14. Hi All, I have recently installed an Intel i9 into my server set up as I started to run a Gaming VM (which i have never had before and i love that unraid allows me to do so). However I have been experiencing issues where my CPU will max out on all the cores that I have allocated to Docker Containers - which causes issues where im not even able to load the Web UI for unraid to shut things down. The problem doenst always happen when im running the VM it sometime happens when the VM is off and is intermitant. I have a large set up of Docker containers which i have pinned to different CPU threads to try and get the best performance. One CPU (CPU 1 -HT 9) i see freequently peaking at 100% but cant figure out why. I have all my server data logged into DB's and view it with grafana but from looking at the data, i dont see the docker containers causing the problem. I have attached a spreadsheet which has my CPU pinning for my Docker containers - the blue columns are the CPU's that are pinned to my VM - when it is running, i also stop the 5 core Plex Container and boot the 2 core one. Anything with Auto-St (Start at Boot) is probably running all the time, and the rest are stopped and started periodically with scripts, or manually when i need them. Any thoughts or suggestions on how i can make my system more efficent would be greatly appreciated. DockerSize-Sheet 1.pdf
  15. Hello, I did , however it was so long ago I can't remember exactly. However, looking back over my notes, it seems like it was to do with the way I was creating the DB. Try deleting everything, Then create the DB in MySQL using the below command then install Clarkson. I think it was to do with using CREATE SCHEMA instead of CREATE DATABASE. CREATE SCHEMA `clarkson`; CREATE USER 'clarkson' IDENTIFIED BY 'clarkson'; GRANT ALL ON `clarkson`.* TO 'clarkson';
