I Currently have a ASUS ZIOPC-D& Motherboard LGA2011-3 with dual INTEL XEON E5-2698V3. I'm looking to upgrade to something faster and maybe a little more efficient. I have a LSI Logic 05-25699-00 9305-24i that will be going in the system along with a 3070 RTX. I Currently am running 20 rust drives and 2 ssds in my setup. It's a plex server for inside my house, storage, also going to try and do a bare metal VM for my madvr setup that | Currently have running on a stand alone system. Also run a few games severs off of it, think im around 180tb. I was looking at the 265k combo from Micro Center but no 8x slot for the LSI. Budget is around 800 bucks. Might can stretch it a bit more if needed. Kind of want this to be the last upgrade for a while. All going in a rack mounted 24 hot swap case. What are you all thoughts ? Also what NiC to use? On board or something else? I have a ubiquiti setup with dream machine SE and 16 port pro max 2.5 switch. Seen mixed things about 2.5g being worth a crap lol. I'm fine going to another server motherboard and cpu like an Epyc or something. Thanks

I’m not sure what happened but my Plex docker takes for ever to load metadata. I mean like only loads 3 movies data in 1-2 minutes. With all the stuff I have it would take weeks at that speed. If I load Plex in a VM it works with no issues. Only when I run it in a docker is it slow loading data. If I add my local movie folder with 645ish movies in it. It almost instantly shows the 645 movies then, When it starts adding the movie data it is extremely slow. I have reloaded unraid from scratch, I have tried different Plex dockers , running it in cache or with out. Running it on its own ssd. Not matter what it’s slow as hell. But it’s fine in VM. Am I missing something? I don’t know what else to try. It was working fine up until a few weeks ago then I started having issues with streaming and loading meta data.

Just signed up today.. About to go down this rabbit hole.. Just built a new Dual Xeon plex server. Going to try this out and see how it runs. Happy Birthday.
