When Cache is full does it invoke mover?

Featured Replies

Got This
Dec 31 09:43:45 Servo shfs: share cache full
Then noticed it was moving files to the appropriate disk, Not all files just the file that was extracting that would have made the disk full?
I'm assuming it's designed this way?

Mover runs on the set schedule: Settings -> Scheduler

Hmm?
So how did it happen LOL
Mover is set to 4am <- does work
Movies Folder - Cache Yes
Extracted file was thrown directly into Movies Folder

If the cache disk is full then for shares set to Cache Yes any new files are written directly to the data disks in the share (not the cache disk) .... mover is not involved in this case.

In addition to what has already been said about overflowing to the array, you should also understand that cache is part of the user shares, so anything in the Movies folder on cache is still in the Movies user share.

That is not the mover, if the share is set to cache=yes and it runs out of space data will overflow to the array:

Thanks for the link

Correct, just how you can see in a share which disk it's on or "cache"

On the shares page, click folder icon for the corresponding share in the view column - locations used are listed there

You can also see how much of each drive each user share is using by clicking on Compute... for the share, or using the Compute All button
