Calco
Hey, first time poster so please be gentle with me. I use a HP Microserver Gen 8 as my Unraid box. All of my networking is at least Gigabit. But when i try copying files i only get speeds at around 7 MB/s so not even Fast Ethernet speeds. I tried transplanting the drives in a different server but still had the same Issues. I tried it with cached shares and with normal shares. I tried swapping all cables, switches and even directly connecting my PC to the Unraid server. The server and the PC are connected with gigabit according to my router. I ran a iperf3 test with every config i made and always got the same results, so i am pretty sure its not the network: [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth [ 4] 0.00-1.00 sec 7.50 MBytes 62.6 Mbits/sec [ 4] 1.00-2.01 sec 7.62 MBytes 63.8 Mbits/sec [ 4] 2.01-3.00 sec 7.38 MBytes 62.1 Mbits/sec [ 4] 3.00-4.01 sec 7.50 MBytes 62.7 Mbits/sec [ 4] 4.01-5.01 sec 7.50 MBytes 62.7 Mbits/sec [ 4] 5.01-6.00 sec 7.50 MBytes 63.3 Mbits/sec [ 4] 6.00-7.00 sec 7.50 MBytes 63.0 Mbits/sec [ 4] 7.00-8.00 sec 7.50 MBytes 63.0 Mbits/sec [ 4] 8.00-9.00 sec 7.38 MBytes 62.0 Mbits/sec [ 4] 9.00-10.01 sec 7.62 MBytes 63.4 Mbits/sec - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth [ 4] 0.00-10.01 sec 75.0 MBytes 62.9 Mbits/sec sender [ 4] 0.00-10.01 sec 74.8 MBytes 62.7 Mbits/sec receiver I also attached the diagnostic files from my server. I hope someone can help me figure out if it is a configuration Issue. galaxis-diagnostics-20210518-1810.zip Edited May 18, 2021 by Calco Quote Link to comment

Iperf only tests the network, and the slow results confirm it's a network problem. This is also not normal, eth0 reports unknown speed and duplex mode: Speed: Unknown! Duplex: Unknown! When i connect a Windows system in the same way as my Unraid Box i get the full Line Speed of 1Gbit/s so I'm pretty sure it's not a Network Problem. does it mean it could be a Problem with the port? 10 minutes ago, JorgeB said: This is also not normal, eth0 reports unknown speed and duplex mode: Speed: Unknown! Duplex: Unknown! (255) eth0 is reporting nothing because it isn't plugged in. I tried using the other ethernet port but that didn't help either... I thougt it might be a problem within Unraid which would explain the iperf3 result. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
It could be a problem with that NIC and Linux, iperf only tests the LAN, if iperf is slow any transfer will also be slow. Quote Link to comment

Already did that but i didn't restart my PC after the update and because of Windows not completely shutting down on Shutdown it didn't install properly. So always restart after Updating something and don't shut it down normaly... Thanks for your help It's working now Quote Link to comment
