(SOLVED) Mover between cache pools - doesn't seem to work.

Hi All

 

 

I've created a new pool of 2x FireCuda's at 1TB - this will be for system cache.

 

 

I have 3 shares in this example - appdata, domains and isos which are stored on Download_cache

 

I want to move them to System_cache.  Docker and VMs are disabled.

 

I have tried YES: Systen_cache and Prefer: System_cache, goto Main and hit Move. 

 

Nothing is moving across.  Am i missing something really simple?

Yes, but not your fault. Pool to pool isn't implemented, so you will need to use cache: yes to move them to the main array, then set cache :prefer to the final destination and run the mover again.

I'm going to mark this as solved and say thank you, there's 96GB of data to transfer so it may take a bit!  But now you've explained it - I've realised why it wasn't moving.

 

Use Cache Yes (but ensure its on Download_cache - the prior SSD).  Before I had System_cache on so nothing was moving; sort of obvious with hindsight but very confusing no knowing the above!

 

Then when this is complete - I will select prefer but with System_cache (NVME), and hit move the 2nd time.
