sunbear
Basically the title. Anytime I make an edit to one of the default variables in a docker (changing a variable name, or the icon for the docker for example), it gets lost anytime I update the docker. At least that's what I think is happening. Only custom docker templates made by me, that do not have the same name as one of the saved templates do not get their variables overwritten. How can I prevent this from happening? Quote Link to comment
Solution Squid Posted June 13, 2021 Solution Share Posted June 13, 2021 By design, templates also update with any updates to the container. This results in any variables etc that are missing from your template being added back in (not changed) What you've done is take an existing template and delete entries (which is fine) Manually edit the file at /config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user and remove the line saying <TemplateURL>....</TemplateURL> to stop the system from updating the template. sunbear
Great. Thank you. I didn't realize there were "templates" and "not templates". Is that something we could get an option in the docker manager to turn on and off? Or am I misunderstanding the purpose? Quote Link to comment
