Giving unraid the ability to size down the datadrives in an array

While testing unraid for my useage I did run into a little problem and thought mabe this could be something for a feature.
New big drives are more expensive since Chia started. So I try to build an unraid machine with old existing 8TB HDDs.
But they are old and a bit slow. The performance with also an 8TB HDD as parity is even slower.
So I thought, why not use 2 SSD with each 4TB and combine them with hardwareraid Raid0 to one 8TB Device.
So at least I do save the time of the rotation of the Paritydisk and hopefully do not further slow down the Datadisks.
So I did.
But the 8TB SSD Device is a few Bytes smaller than the 8TB HDDs.

And there is the Idea for a Feature that would help in such a case.
Since I can't glue some Bits zu the SSDs the Datadisks should be smaller.
It seems unraid uses the whole Disks completely.
How about to give unraid the ability to size down Datadisks to the size of the paritydevice(s)?

I know it is a very special case I am testing, but maybe it could even help other people.
