Major server issues

Featured Replies

Recently I have had issues with my otherwise rock solid server.

After some investigation is appears my cache drive has errors.

I don't have an appdata backup but I am going to try and see if I can get one now.

I recently moved Plex to its own SSD.

Any suggestions on what I can do if I can't get an appdata backup?

Looks like my backup completed, it is currently verifying.

I will be getting a replacement 2TB drive (original was 2TB) and putting it in tonight.

What are the steps to restore?

I've read some posts that say once the new cache drive is in and docker is running, to re download my docker apps, start them, then stop them, then to delete anything in appdata, then restore my appdata backup? Is this correct?

This does not seem to have any link to My Servers official plugin and its functionalities.

is it correct @ashman70 ? Can we move this to Unraid6 general support subforum ?

I have installed the plugin only just about an hour ago. My dockers are not running, does this affect the plugin?

His point wasn't about whether or not you had the plugin installed. It was about the fact that you posted in the support area for the plugin when your issues don't seem related to the plugin.

That would be correct. This thread can be moved to general support.

Ok so I moved my appdata and other data off my failing cache drive, replaced the drive and then moved everything back.

When I start docker none of my containers are there, is this normal?

Should I restore my appdata backup or just add my containers back?

You should add your appdata back if you want to restore the containers state.

You can then download the container binaries by going to Apps->Previous Apps and ticking the ones you want to redownload with their previous settings intact.

Thanks I am doing that now
