November 17, 20214 yr It's quite annoying that SMB settings couldn't be changed without stopping the array first. On generic Linux system, admins don't need to shutdown all services just to change samba settings. Unless there is something forbiting this?
August 2, 20232 yr Came here to complain about this too. I could not beleive I had to stop the array just to change a small configuration setting. Stopping the array is very disruptive and should be avoided. Edited August 2, 20232 yr by redge76
August 29, 20232 yr Old thread - but still relevant! This is totally stupid - @JorgeB (et all) Why is this the case? To have to stop all VMs and Dockers just to change a share is riduculous.
