chimlm Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 It's quite annoying that SMB settings couldn't be changed without stopping the array first. On generic Linux system, admins don't need to shutdown all services just to change samba settings. Unless there is something forbiting this? Quote
redge76 Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) Came here to complain about this too. I could not beleive I had to stop the array just to change a small configuration setting. Stopping the array is very disruptive and should be avoided. Edited August 2, 2023 by redge76 Quote
Tomo82 Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Old thread - but still relevant! This is totally stupid - @JorgeB (et all) Why is this the case? To have to stop all VMs and Dockers just to change a share is riduculous. Quote
