April 29, 201115 yr Author Alright, in thinking about this more...our network forces us to install a program (clean access) in order to access the internet on a PC or MAC. So you go me thinking, the server never does have a way to sign into this "authentication" which seems to be the problem... This is really dumb, IDK why I didn't think of that before...but you got me thinking and then it hit me... I'm going to mark this as solved.... Now, just to get my disk writing issue solved...hmm!?!
April 30, 201115 yr A solution for this problem occurred to me: set up proxy service on your Mac for the unRAID server.

April 30, 201115 yr This requires a bit of research but I know it can be done. A simple way would be to attach a second Ethernet port via USB to the Mac and use Internet sharing. This would require all traffic to the server to pass through the Mac. A better way would to set up proper proxy service for traffic that is not on the local subnet to pass through the Mac. This is possible using possibly the BSD software on the Mac or definitely using third party software. The Mac will become the gateway/router for the server.
