Nightowl805
I came home from work and found that disk 9 is disabled by Unraid and not sure how to really fix it. I don't think the disk is actyually bad but who knows. It is attached in the first slot of a Diskshelf but all other drives are working in same shelf. Everything seems to be working as far as Dockers and Unraid but the disk is being emulated right now. tower-diagnostics-20220622-2005.zip tower-smart-20220622-1922.zip Edited June 23, 2022 by Nightowl805 Wrong Graphic uploaded Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Handling of disabled disks is covered here in the online documentations accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI. 1 Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Log is being spammed with PCIe errors, so we can't see what happened, wait for the result of the long SMART test. 1 Quote Link to comment
Nightowl805
What I finally wound up doing was changing the "Extender?" on the back of the drive that plugs into the disk shelf back plane. It then recognized it as a empty slot. I re-added the same drive to that slot in Unraid and it basically is treating it like a new drive, erasing it and rebuilding it off the parity drives. I will have to see how it behaves after that. I was never able to run the long smart test but I tried. Thank you for the help. Quote Link to comment

You need to disable spindown while running that type of test as otherwise the spindown terminates the test.- maybe that was the issue? 1 Quote Link to comment
