Ramiraz
Hi, i hope some of you brilliant people can help me diagnose my problem with my Unraid server. I am unable to update OS, Plugins, or Docker Containers. When I go to tools >> Update OS I get this "not available" error. I get the same error whenever I try to update my plugins or my docker containers. I have tried searching the forums here for help, and found some topics that mentioned that this usually was a problem with DNS. I run a setup with 2 pihole servers as my primary and secondary DNS servers. Since I figured this might be caused by my pihole instances blocking something I have set googles DNS servers as both primary and secondary DNS servers for my unraid server. I can ping external websites by URL, so name resolution is working, but updating is still not working. I have tried rebooting the server several times as well, but that does not change anything. I have pulled the diagnostics file from my server and added here. I hope some of you can help me fix this problem. tower-diagnostics-20220723-1559.zip Edited July 23, 2022 by Ramiraz Quote Link to comment

Your name resolution isn't working properly for some reason. I can almost guarantee you can't ping github.com While google's DNS servers are great, I'd try using OpenDNS instead 208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220 Quote Link to comment

Squid
Something's blocking everything from downloading While it's unlikely to be your problem, uninstall Preclear, as it is incompatible with 6.10 (replaced with Unassigned Devices Preclear). And consider uninstall SNMP as it's the one I'm least familiar with. Not related to your problem, but you will get far better performance by assigning any random flash drive etc to the array and using the SSD you've got instead as a cache pool (the flash is there just to satisfy the requirements of a data drive must be present) and set all your shares to use that pool and Use Cache: ONLY Trim is not supported on any disk in the array. Thanks, I will try that =) I found the solution. I was clicking round in the settings menu, just trying to find anything out of the ordinary. I checked the "time and date" setting, and noticed that it was set to (for some strange reason) Jan 01 2012. I changed the time back to to correct timezone and set the time and date correctly, and now everything works again =) Quote Link to comment
