Powertop Uninstall

Featured Replies

Hi,

i'm on 6.11.0 rc4 and uninstalled NerdPack.

First, i tried to install Powertop via Slackware but struggled with it and uninstalled the package with Un-Get by ich777 .

Now, powertop is still on the system, but i would like to do a clean install with it being uninstalled first.

Thanks for the help!

Unraid runs in RAM and is installed clean on every boot, any modifications have to be scripted. So, as long as you remove any traces from /boot/extra and reboot, it's uninstalled.

I did, and it still is on the system for some reason.

Thanks for the help!

I think that powertop is now part of the Tips and Tweaks plugin.

If you have it installed, it might be the reason you cannot remove it ?

That makes sense, thanks for the help!!

Tips and Tweaks installs the powertop package, but does not do any adjustments in the powertop settings.  It's my understanding that if you reboot, all the powertop settings revert to the defaults.
