How can I change the permissions of a directory

Featured Replies

Hi,
I created a shares. For no reason one of the directories is READ only and has no ownership.

How can I modify this with Unraid or Krusader ?

Attached, Krusader printscreens.

Thank,

Run newpermissions on that share, under tools.

Hi,
This is for my share, but mine is only for a particular directory.

If you do it for the share it will fix all folders inside it.

Thank, really appreciate

Also if your using 6.10.3 and Dynamix Filemanager Plugin, you can just check the box next to it and use the button below or to the right of the folder for changing owner or permission.

I find myself using this feature a lot after I installed it. Sure you can move files around with it, but that's not as fun.

Your very welcome. Its been a very long requested feature and the more that use it, comment on it and request refinements the better it can only get.

Have fun with it.

That's probably some app changing/writing files with improper permissions.

You sure can 'new permission' the share, but that would probably not solve the root problem.

You should investigate on what's actually using/changing those permissions.

Maybe some 'arrs app or something.
