ManfromtheNorth
Hi all, I made a bit of a mistake and now Libvirt is failing to start (Lesson: don't fool around in Krusader when you don't know what you're doing). When I reboot the server, it does manage to start, but if I stop it, it won't come back up. I was cleaning up some disk images trying to clear up space on my VM cache disk and I used Krusader to delete a folder under Unraid/cachevm/domains. In the VM Settings logs, I have these errors: 2022-11-27 20:53:36.311+0000: 5947: info : libvirt version: 8.2.0 2022-11-27 20:53:36.311+0000: 5947: info : hostname: UNRAID 2022-11-27 20:53:36.311+0000: 5947: error : virDirOpenInternal:2915 : cannot open directory '/mnt/user/domains/Server2008R2_TMPL': No such file or directory 2022-11-27 20:53:36.311+0000: 5947: error : storageDriverAutostartCallback:215 : internal error: Failed to autostart storage pool 'Server2008R2_TMPL': cannot open directory '/mnt/user/domains/Server2008R2_TMPL': No such file or directory 2022-11-27 20:53:36.312+0000: 5947: error : virDirOpenInternal:2915 : cannot open directory '/mnt/user/domains/Server2016_TMPL:': No such file or directory 2022-11-27 20:53:36.312+0000: 5947: error : storageDriverAutostartCallback:215 : internal error: Failed to autostart storage pool 'Server2016_TMPL:': cannot open directory '/mnt/user/domains/Server2016_TMPL:': No such file or directory 2022-11-27 20:53:36.312+0000: 5947: error : virDirOpenInternal:2915 : cannot open directory '/mnt/user/domains/SVR2008R2-TMPL': No such file or directory 2022-11-27 20:53:36.312+0000: 5947: error : storageDriverAutostartCallback:215 : internal error: Failed to autostart storage pool 'SVR2008R2-TMPL': cannot open directory '/mnt/user/domains/SVR2008R2-TMPL': No such file or directory 2022-11-27 20:53:41.896+0000: 5936: error : virFileIsSharedFixFUSE:3337 : unable to canonicalize /mnt/user/domains/Server2016_TMPL:/vdisk1.img: No such file or directory 2022-11-27 20:53:41.897+0000: 5936: error : virQEMUFileOpenAs:11519 : Failed to open file '/mnt/user/domains/Server2016_TMPL:/vdisk1.img': No such file or directory The Server2008R2_TMPL doesn't actually exist, but Server2016_TMPL does. unraid-diagnostics-20221127-1557.zip Quote Link to comment

trurl
Why is there a colon at the end of the folder name? Quote Link to comment
ManfromtheNorth
That's a good question, I didn't put it there. It's not there in the UI. I ended up deleting the Server_2016_TMPL using Virtual Machine Manager, however, I still see this in the log: internal error: Failed to autostart storage pool 'Server2008R2_TMPL': cannot open directory '/mnt/user/domains/Server2008R2_TMPL': No such file or directory That's the folder I deleted using Krusader.
