Array fail, what happen with my VM in cache

My array had 4 drives fail and I can not start it.

 

My question is what happen with cache because my VM is located there. As I can not start the array, I also can not access my OS.

 

Is possible save my VMs?

 

Any idea?

I dont know. I turn off the unraid and the next day when I turn it on, 4 drives fail. With 4 drives fail, unraid dont allow start the array.

 

At this moment, I dont care about the data in array. I only want to save my VM and OS.

You should post your system’s diagnostics zip file so we can get a better idea of the current state of things.

Can you see the drives in BIOS? Were these connected to a controller card?

Yes, they was in controller card. The fail drives can not be seeing in the bios. I remove them and try to test offside and in the other software. They are not working.

Yes, exactly. But I dont care about these drives. I would like to know how I can save the VMs that are in cache.

 

The cache ssd are working correctly.

You can do New Config to create a new array and include your existing cache. If cache is mountable you should be able to get its files.

 

The new array must have at least one data disk, parity not required.

 

Or, if this was a single disk cache pool, that disk can be read on any Linux, no Unraid necessary.

Or, you could even assign that former cache as the only data disk in a new array and access it that way.
