March 30, 20233 yr I am getting the "Cannot read properties of undefined(reading 'toLowerCase')" error also, and when I try to sign out, I get an error that my USB GUID is invalid. I saw a couple other posts from a month ago saying the plugin would be updated to fix this, but the plugin updated since then and still having this issue. Is my USB actually bad? It is a cheap USB stick 🤷♂️
April 3, 20233 yr We have not been able to reproduce this problem. However, replacing the flash drive did solve it for this person: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/133952-migrated-to-new-hardware-cant-log-in-diag-included/#comment-1243178
April 11, 20233 yr I had the same issue after purchasing a license just the other day. I solved it today by signing out of my servers on the settings page (/Settings/ManagementAccess), finishing setup, then signing back in on the settings page.

I solved it today by signing out of my servers on the settings page (/Settings/ManagementAccess), finishing setup, then signing back in on the settings page. It won't let me sign out there either. Just keeps saying my USB GUID is invalid. I swapped USB sticks, but still getting the same error. Is there a way to delete the plugin config files somewhere? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, no help.
April 21, 20233 yr Author I noticed the i button in the top left corner gives some information about this problem, the GUID is listed as GUID-NOT-RECEIVED (which is why the error is saying my GUID ends in IVED and it's invalid). There doesn't seem to be any way to log out, and it looks like it saves the incomplete or corrupt installation through the uninstall process.
April 22, 20233 yr Author I removed the plugin, then deleted the /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.my.servers directory. When I reinstalled the plugin, it had me login and link the server to my account again, but it just went back to giving me the "invalid GUID" and "Cannot read properties of undefined(reading 'toLowerCase')" errors again.
April 25, 20233 yr Please go to the Plugins tab and check for updates, this will upgrade you to Unraid Connect: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/138392-unraid-connect-plugin-announcements/#comment-1255739 There have been many changes and improvements which should resolve many problems. If you continue to have issues please let us know.
April 27, 20233 yr Author Still having the same issue. Tried deleting the plugin folder and reinstalling, it let me sign in and said the server was registered, but as soon as I went back to the dashboard the "toLowerCase" issue returned. Edited April 27, 20233 yr by YsarKain added screenshot
April 27, 20233 yr Based on similar reports from other users, there is a good chance your flash drive needs to be replaced. But if you're able to hold off a bit, we will soon have a new release that will definitely not give the "tolowercase" message. I'd like to see what message it does give instead (we have not been able to reproduce this problem ourselves)
April 28, 20233 yr Author I replaced the flash drive a few days ago, and still got the message. A second flash drive, same model/size (Kingston Datatraveller 32GB, purchased at the same time as the current flash drive) worked fine connecting to my servers on my trial install of 6.12. I also found this which may give a little more info:
April 30, 20233 yr I just started having this issue an hour or so ago with a new unRAID I setup on Saturday. It was fine prior to that. And I also set up another one on Friday night. And that one is still working fine.
April 30, 20233 yr I deleted everything on the unRAID usb drive and started from scratch. Now I am connecting. I'll see if it stays ok overnight.
May 1, 20233 yr Hi folks, please update to today's release: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/138392-unraid-connect-plugin-announcements/#comment-1257785 It should be impossible to see this message any longer: "cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'tolowercase')" but I am not sure what it will be replaced with as we have not been able to reproduce this. If you continue to have issues, please go to Settings -> Management Access -> Unraid Connect and see the new section on how to download and submit logs. Once we have the logs we should be able to get to the bottom of this.
May 2, 20233 yr Author Tried replacing the USB key and now I get this. I reinstalled unraid connect before trying this.
May 2, 20233 yr Author Put the old usb drive back in and I get this: Trying to sign out gives the same error I was getting before (GUID_NOT_RECEIVED / Invalid GUID) logs.gz Edited May 2, 20233 yr by YsarKain added logs
May 18, 20233 yr Hi @YsarKain, it is very likely that one of the config files on your flash drive is corrupt. Replacing the flash drive is a good first step but the problem will remain if you copy a corrupt file from the old one to the new one. Please see my comment here to send us the info we need to figure out which file on your flash drive is corrupt: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/134517-cannot-read-properties-of-undefined-reading-tolowercase/#comment-1263126
June 16, 20233 yr Author Sorry for not getting back to you on this earlier, I haven't been working on this issue since everything else is working ok. I looked in /var/log/unraid-api/stderr.log and I get: [2023-06-15T06:00:01.841] [21605] [ERROR] [emhttp] Failed loading state file from "/usr/local/emhttp/state/var.ini" with "Value "" is not false/true or no/yes." very similar to what the other guy was getting. But there are a bunch of variables set to "" in /usr/local/emhttp/state/var.ini: localMaster="" WSD_OPT="" WSD2_OPT="" shareUserInclude="" shareUserExclude="" regCheck="" fsProgress="" fsUnmountableMask=""
June 19, 20233 yr We need to see the logs in order to troubleshoot. In the current version of the plugin, the Settings -> Management Access -> Unraid Connect tab has instructions on how to send those
