mayberts
I have started a new conifg to create a new array with new drives, now when I start the array it hangs on Array Starting Mounting disks. I can start the array in maintenance mode, but it never mounts. How long should it take to mount? How else can I troubleshoot this? Thanks Nick Quote Link to comment

Until the drives have been formatted while in the array it is normal for them to be unmountable as at that point they have no file system. Quote Link to comment

Solution JorgeB Posted June 14, 2023 Solution Share Posted June 14, 2023 Format option is only available after array start, but the problem is the pool, you are running into a known issue, reboot first, then click the first pool device and change the fs from auto to the one you plan to use, btrfs or zfs, then start array. 1 Quote Link to comment

Formatting the array now. 1 Quote Link to comment
