server crashes daily after upgrade to 6.12

Recommended Posts

HI there,

I'm afraid that I can't help you but I am posting to show the DEVs that you are not alone.

My unraid server never crashed once for 3 years prior to this 6.12.1 upgrade... now my server crashes daily. (like yours)

I have changed the Docker settings to IPvlan as recommended... still crashes

I have increased docker log size... still crashes....

So yes... I am also looking for solutions to the same problem...

Hey JorgeB,

My syslog seems to be filled with a zillion entries of this...

Jun 22 13:40:44 Tower nginx: 2023/06/22 13:40:44 [error] 7243#7243: *181345 open() "/usr/local/emhttp/health" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /health HTTP/1.1", host: "localhost"

Maybe this is filling up a log file somewhere and crashing the server?

here is my syslog but it doesn't really show anything

It does:

Jun 25 11:15:40 Interocitor kernel: macvlan_broadcast+0x10a/0x150 [macvlan]
Jun 25 11:15:40 Interocitor kernel: ? _raw_spin_unlock+0x14/0x29
Jun 25 11:15:40 Interocitor kernel: macvlan_process_broadcast+0xbc/0x12f [macvlan]

Switching to ipvlan should fix it (Settings -> Docker Settings -> Docker custom network type -> ipvlan (advanced view must be enabled, top right)).

Thanks @JorgeB !!

That was the solution, I also tried static IP/MASK/GW/DNS for Eth0 on my Unraid, however APPs and Unraid Connect stopped working, it only worked using DHCP, but that's fine.

Later I'll try to add back the Eth1 to create a bond0 with Eth0 and try DHCP for IP/MASK/GW/DNS assignment.
