Himay
I think my USB key has failed. I could not access my UNRAID server and on reboot I entered the BIOS and the USB drive couldn't be found. I tried putting the USB drive in my Windows PC. It sees the drive in My Computer but when I click it, it tells me to insert the drive. Stupidly, I haven't taken a backup on the drive in 2 years. What are my options to get my server back up and running here? Quote Link to comment

Himay
I got lucky and the last backup I had worked. I'll be setting up regular backups going forward. Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Make sure those backups of the boot drive are not to the array. I always make mine to my PC. (If the boot drive fails, it could be a real hassle to get to the backup!!) Quote Link to comment
Malakai
Every time I make a backup of my USB drive I use the USB creation tool to write the backup to a new USB so that it is ready to go in the case of an actual failure of the main USB drive. When the day comes I can just plug in the cold spare USB drive and boot the server then swap in a replacement registration key. Quote Link to comment
