Simone Valmacco
Dear all, I have my Unraid server up and running for few month now with few SMB shares. Today I've check the shared folders in Windows and I found that all folders are empty. In the Unraid dashboard it says that there are no shares present although I see the right drives capacity ( they were at about 50% capacity) What can it be? I am a bit worried about my files... I send you a screeshot of the log. There's definetely something wrong... Quote Link to comment
itimpi
You should post your system's diagnostics zip file in your next post in this thread to get more informed feedback. It is always a good idea to post this if your question might involve us seeing how you have things set up or to look at recent logs. Quote Link to comment
dlandon
It looks like you've left a browser open on Unraid. Close all open sessions to your Unraid and reboot. Then post diagnostics. The log will be hard to read with all those log messages. Quote Link to comment
Simone Valmacco
Hi, thank you for your reply. it is normal that the diagnostics file take so long to make and download? it is running for an hour and it hasn't finish yet.. Quote Link to comment
dlandon
NO, that's too long. Did you reboot the server first? Quote Link to comment
Simone Valmacco
After a reboot the diagnostics takes only few seconds to download... unraid-diagnostics-20231123-1830.zip Quote Link to comment

I do have a few suggestions: Fix your DNS issue: Nov 23 18:26:04 Unraid root: ⚠️ Warning: Your DNS server (192.168.1.1) is unable to resolve 'mothership.unraid.net' Nov 23 18:26:04 Unraid root: Recommend navigating to Settings -> Network Settings and changing your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 Update the tailscale plugin. You might want to check your tailscale configuration. For the moment, don't leave any browser sessions open to your Unraid GUI for extended times. Quote Link to comment
Simone Valmacco
Thank you, I've setup the DNS as 8.8.8.8 and checked the Tailscale plugin. Now seems to works just fine. Anything else I have to check? Thank you again!! Quote Link to comment
