Macj72x Posted January 11 Share Posted January 11 Hey I have a new Dell R430 Poweredge server running Unraid. I can get it to boot fine, but the disks are not loading. I have another server with a similar configuration that pulled up these same disks with no issue. itimpi Posted January 12 Share Posted January 12 How are the disks connected? Have you checked both the SATA and power cabling? Also the diagnostics say the SATA controllers are set to run in IDE mode - not what you want. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB Posted January 12 Share Posted January 12 If the disks are connected to the MegaRAID controller you need to create a JBOD/RAID0 or pass them though, but note that RAID controllers are not recommended. Quote Link to comment
Macj72x Posted January 14 Author Share Posted January 14 So I solved it. I was thinking you change the setting at the RAID controller configuration to go to HBA mode, but that didn't work and caused me more issues. After lots of tinkering and get my drives to show again, I found the best solution. I had to go into the configuration of each individual drive and change it to non-raid mode then click go.
