DepthVader
Hey all. I have more than a few people who rely on my unraid server and I've been busy so I haven't updated my server in a while. I finally found some time to update it, and if anything goes wrong, I'll have time to either fix or roll back. One question I have that I can't seem to find an answer to is regarding the docker network type changing from macvlan to ipvlan and the impact it will have on a custom docker network. What is the impact, if any at all, to changing the docker network from macvlan to ipvlan on a custom docker network? Lastly, if I change the docker network type to ipvlan while still on 6.11.5, is this a good test to see how my dockers will react or is there other changes in the upgrade that will impact my dockers (from a network perspective)? Thank you all for your help!! Quote Link to comment
Stan464
Had issues with mine on one of my Servers and was told to Read: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/release-notes/6.12.4/#fix-for-macvlan-call-traces It should get you what you need. Quote Link to comment
DepthVader
Thanks for the reply, Stan! I guess I didn't explain myself well. I created a customer docker network (let's call it "home"), using the instructions provided by Ibracorp here: I'm wondering how the change to ipvlan will impact this setting as most of my Dockers are on the custom docker network "home" I created.
