Immich iGPU

Featured Replies

Has anyone gotten an intel iGPU to work with the immich docker from the community applications? The immich docs state it should work but i havent been able to figure out how to get it working. I added a device to the docker with it mapped to /dev/dri is there something im missing?

Did you turn change the hardware acceleration setting on the immich administration settings?image.thumb.png.b284fb25327c8c537651c3b60e2efa8c.png

It is set to intel. But immich still doesn't seem to be using the iGPU

I mean it only uses it when you upload a video so most of the time it maybe idle.

Edit: Seeing some instability(frozen machine) after the edits, I'm not sure if it's related to Immich/PostGres16  but there are some other reports of hung machines.

It wasn't working for me either, but I just updated the containers and switched to SIO's postgres container and it seems like it may be working now.

I used to just see tons of FFMPEG errors in the log and turned off HW accel.

The quick sync setting seemed to generate ffmpeg error. I'm trying VVAPI:

I switched to a different server but QuickSync seems to be working for me:

Passed the GPU through.

I don't think I changed any other settings.

I have this in my /boot/config/go file but I don't think it's needed:

#Enable iGPU

modprobe i915

chmod -R 777 /dev/dri

Also in immich I have:

And if you go in docker->right click immich-> >_console:

root@60b2474b4ec9:/# ls /dev/dri
card0  renderD128
root@60b2474b4ec9:/#
