Hi All

 

Just got the new server up and running and I want to add a cache drive but I can;t find any reference in teh wiki or here on how to do it.

 

Can someone put some simple noob type instructions up for me so I can add my drive to the mix?

In 4.7 you stop the array and on the devices tab select the drive in the cache drop down. You may need to scroll down to the bottom of the page. The cache drop down is the last option on that page.

I am using 5.0-beta12a (should have mentioned that I guess), is it still the same (or close enough to)

The free version does not have a cache option.

ahhh... Thats explains it easily.

 

So from that reply, can I assume that I can;t register a beta version and if i want to put this boc into production I need to go to 4.7.

 

The purchase page indicates I get the GUID of the USB key from teh Devices tab, but there is none on my system, so I am guessing that the beta is no good for me.

you can purchase a key for 5b14. the key works for 4.7 and 5bx versions. just save the key so you dont lose it.

There is a devices tab in version 4.7 but not version 5. In version 5 you click on the "flash" link on the Main tab.
