June 6, 20242 yr I appear to have a very intermittent (maybe once a month or longer) shutdown that I believe is related to this message in the log "Received signal 15; terminating." Diag attached. unraid diag signal15.zip
June 6, 20242 yr Community Expert Doubt that is the problem, enable the syslog server and post that after a shutdown, but the server shutting down by itself is usually a hardware issue (or bad power)

June 6, 20242 yr Author Based on when syslog-previous ends (for date/time) it doesn't appear that the crash was actually captured. Not sure if there is a setting I have missed since it occured approx June 5 at 8pm est.
June 6, 20242 yr Community Expert Probably just there wasn't anything else logged from 5 to 8 AM, suggesting more a hardware issue, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.
January 6, 20251 yr Hey did you figure out what was the issue? Or what hardware has caused this? I am having the same issue. syslog syslog-previous Edited January 6, 20251 yr by ctsdad

I plan to pull the system to check the AIO, memory, and the power supply. I am handicap so I will have to wait for my wife to help me pull the system

I am going to have to agree with the UPS diagnosis you made. We pulled my server and placed it on a cart which ment it was disconnected from the UPS. It has been up and running since this morning without issue. I wonder if something changed in UPS handling during the last unraid update Edited January 8, 20251 yr by ctsdad
January 8, 20251 yr Author At least in my case I believe the UPS is defective, switching to a different UPS has been stable thus far although with mine the issue was very intermittent (could have upwards of 30 days uptime before an issue).
