Can't access folder after re-installing Unraid

Featured Replies

I seem to have a random issue where my Unraid loses network connectivity every few months and the easiest fix for me was just to re-install.

The issue I have this time is I now can access the share through Windows.  I can on other PC's but not on my main one.

Not sure where to start looking as nothing has changed.  I see it in my network but it just says it can't access it.

You should post your system's diagnostics zip file in your next post in this thread to get more informed feedback.  It is always a good idea to post this if your question might involve us seeing how you have things set up or to look at recent logs.

Just a first check - have you actually exported the shares you want visible on the network?   The default is for them to NOT be exported.

Yes it is set to export, I can access it from other computers without an issue.

Attached is the log file.

If other PCs can access the share, it suggests that PC is the problem, not the server, try deleting the saved credentials so that it asks for them again, or try creating a new test public share.

I can access the shares on the other computers, I can't access the actual server.  I have nothing in my credential manager in windows

Still looks like a problem with that specific PC, or its network, try accessing Unraid by IP.

The folder?  I can access unraid fine through the browser, I just can't access the shares.

If unraid had a different IP previously and has a different one now, how can I "clear" any history in Windows if that could be a potential cause?

\\tower is not the folder, it's the server, try \\IP_ADDRESS

If after setting things up that way, you are still having problems.  Give us some detailed information about the PC's that connect and the ones that have problems-- example,  WIN 11 PRO  23H2.  (By the way, If you make changes to any part of the setup, you should reboot your Windows PC as Windows SMB  has a long memory and often what it remembers from an old setup will prevent the changes from working!)
