We didn't change anything and I don't see any setting related to this in the forum back end. I will have to open a support ticket with Invision...

Thanks for flagging this. In order to send emails through our own email provider rather than the default invision (forum software) provider, and fix issues with deliverability for our users, we moved back to AWS. We had been using Virtual Deliverability Manager to track clicks on other emails and it was enabled for all mail - these analytics had only gone to our team but are now turned off.
