Data/Share Appears Missing after reboot

It still doesn't look like a disk problem to me, so unlikely that preclearing them will help, could be a power/PSU problem, any splitters in use?

my power sata cables are the daisy chained type (5 to a molex with short loops from drive to drive). All my hardware is about a 2 months old. I built this in early July

Seems I lost my shares when disk10 said it was unable to write to it

You should really avoid these, I recommending splitting one plug into two max

Not sure I have enough from my power supply, but I will swap them out if I do. Can you send me link to what you use?

Also, I removed (2) more problem drives and created new config to see what happens next. I am leaving shortly, but it took a little time before issues arose last time (30-60mins I beleive). Let's say it wasn't the drives, can I add them back into the array with all the data still on it (since it has already been formatted, etc)? Or do I need to migrate one at a time like I did going from Windows to unRAID?

Thank you for your help!!! I will post the results

I try to avoid splitters as much as possible, but I do use them with some server, but never to split one plug to more than two, like this:

You can add them back, and without parity you just need to assign them, don't even need to do a new config

Thank you!

If I use molex and sata from PSU, I think I can minimize splitters. I have 18 drives currently (2 18TB parity I've yet to add)

So the shares disappeared again!! I don;t know what to do manmedia-server-diagnostics-20240906-1822.zip

One drive with read errors knocks my whole array out (shares at least). Read errors are sata data or can be power too? Confused

Can be either, can also be a controller issue, but much less likely, almost certainly it's not the disks, now it was disk3, if you have a different PSU try swapping that.

My PSU is 2 months old, but...I'll try to find my previous or order one. Everything is running well except that I'm losing my user shares...

The other software is running fine, just doesn't have the shares to direct where to put files. I'm not getting any warnings or alerts either. This seems really strange

You are going to lose the shares if there disk errors for the array, since all disks are connected by the user shares, so you need to fix that first.

Ok, I got rid of old PSU, so I'll have to order one and new sata power adapters. I'll let you know what transpires. Thanks!
