Mylo75
Unraid Server M/B: Supermicro - X8DTL CPU: Intel® Xeon® CPU L5520 @ 2.27GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled Cache: 256 kB, 1024 kB, 8192 kB Memory: 12 GB Network: bond0: fault-tolerance (active-backup), mtu 1500 eth0: 1000 Mb/s, full duplex, mtu 1500 600 watt Power supply 4 8tb drives and 2 6tb drives What would be a decent energy efficient upgrade from this old server hardware I'm currently running. I'm running 12 or so dockers, 1 or 2 plex streams and 1 or 2 non gaming vms also leaving some room for extra future usage. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

You have also the opportunity to set the PowerLevel within the BIOS. My "old" i7-9700 is running with 45W. A cheap solution could be a 12600K running at 45-50W. And if you ask: Why (the hell) a 12600K? Well - it has 10 cores and 16 threads - good for your VMs 👍 Edited September 15 by Zonediver Quote Link to comment
