January 21, 20251 yr Community Expert Before I hit the Update button? My configuration: Assume: 1. Take array off-line 2. Reboot to clear 3. Perform update to v7.0.0 I'm running Plex. Most of my computers are Windows 11, a couple iPad Pro M4s iOS 18.x, two webOS LG TV with Plex client. Anything new that I might need to adjust in EFI/BIOS? Rob.
January 21, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution docker setting and vlans is a known issue if you have a misconfiguration. Some had issues with missing disk again due to misconfigurations... Things you need to know... Read the release notes and announcement page... https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/release-notes/7.0.0/ And know issue per the announcement side of the forum! Example post: Many have updated without issues. I recommend updating sonnet then latter... ALWAYS MAKE A FLASH BACKUP... WebUI > Main > Flash > Flash Backup as this can overwrite the current flash drive and bring you to a working state! Other than that, no... no issues from me in regard to upgrading. Per base info you shouldn't have an issue. Edited January 21, 20251 yr by bmartino1 Typo
January 21, 20251 yr Author Community Expert Thank you for response. I haven’t done a flash backup before, where does the backup go? Onto same USB stick or somewhere else? Different USB stick? Why sooner and not later? Normally I wait for a 7.0.x to flush bugs found in the wild. Rob.

It is like downloading any other file in your browser - you have the option to say where you want it to be put, although by default it goes to your standard download location.
January 26, 20251 yr Author Community Expert I got the "Wrong Pool State Cache Invalid" error as reported by others. Let me research for "the fix" ... if there is one.
January 26, 20251 yr Author Community Expert Found the thread to fix here. Pretty simple: 1. Main - Pool Devices - click on Cache, click on Remove Pool 2. Main - Pool Devices - select number of cache devices (in my case 3) slots - Add Pool 3. Main - Pool Devices - assign cache devices back to unassigned slots 4. Start Array
January 26, 20251 yr Something that was addressed already and the issue I saw. - Disks not showing up in the GUI but get alerts that array is good/normal and nothing found nightly. - Terminal window / shell if you click the button, shows up for few seconds and self closes, so you'll have to putty in. Haven't had a chance to review the fixes yet. Answer/Fix: - Clearing cache/cookies (all time) fixed both issues above. Edited January 26, 20251 yr by RoTalk
