Do you have UPS?

Is your BIOS set to restart when power is restored?

Yes to both

There's no indication from Unraid that something is going wrong before the restart.

Correct, but this is typical with most hardware issues that cause a reboot.

Right. Got a another PSU ordered to test that should be here in a couple days. Really hoping the cause is something easy like that to switch out. Also took out the system yesterday after that last restart to check all connections, but there didn't seem to be anything loose.

A possible easy test, if you have multiple sticks, try using the server with just one, if the same try with a different one, that will basically rule out bad RAM.

I'm currently using 4. I tried the other day with just 2, but still eventually ran into a random restart. I could try some different memory configs though.

I wanted to ask if there has been any update on this?

I'm experiencing the same issues with my unraid server.

I just shuts off, syslog doesn't show anything (it just stops at some point), so it's not related to an error in unraid.

I've switched the PSU yesterday and I still have the same problem. Interestingly, the server always finishes the parity check and seems to experience a random shutdown when there is no load.

I'll recheck the hardware, try one ram stick at a time and then maybe the motherboard.

I am also having the same issue Connected to a UPS and had no power outage, but wake up to the server being off with an unclean shut down. Totally random and starting to get quite annoying
