Mover not working on Unraid 7.0.0

Featured Replies

I have noticed that the Mover has not worked for about 3 days at least.

Here are my shares: https://prnt.sc/k5fztlbpWHEv

Here are my plugins: Screenshot-2025-02-13-at-13-38-35-Tower-

Here are the configs for the Media share: Screenshot-2025-02-13-at-13-40-53-Tower-

The Media share is almost completely filling my cache even when its set to move it to the array (Cache->Array).

I do not have the Move utility installed, which I have read seems to cause issues on V 7.0.0. I tried installing it and running the mover manually, it didn't work so I uninstalled it again.

I have tried running the mover manually and by typing it on the terminal and I get:

root@Tower:~# mover
Usage: /usr/local/sbin/mover start [-e] <disk_name>
       /usr/local/sbin/mover stop|status
       <disk_name> must match pattern 'disk[0-9]*'

I also tried mover start, when I do so it does not seem to move the actual problem files on the media share. Here is the otuput I get:

root@Tower:~# mover start
mover: started
skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/Jellyfin/data/jellyfin.db
skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/Jellyfin/data/library.db
skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/PostgreSQL_Immich/base/16384/2601

skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/binhex-flaresolverr/supervisord.log
skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/homarr/data/db.sqlite
skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/jellyseerr/db/db.sqlite3
skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/jellyseerr/db/db.sqlite3-shm
skip: /mnt/disk1/appdata/jellyseerr/db/db.sqlite3-wal
skip: /mnt/disk1/system/docker/docker.img
mover: finished

I have tried restarting Unraid and trying again. No luck there. I also have tried checking for solutions online, but the issues people seem to be having are different from mine.

Had the same issue and this resolved it for me - full credit to itimpi

I'm seeing exactly the same problem and can't work out why at all. I have some shares that are being moved successfully and some that aren't with no obvious differences between them. Was working fine prior to the 7.x upgrade.

There is a plugin called   Unraid Patch    for 7.x upgrade.  Here the status report from that plugin:

Look at the list of bug fixes...

Do you have Mover Tuning installed? If so, go to its support thread.

Nope, never have.

You are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread.
It is always a good idea to do this to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs.
