Looks like the A SPEED VGA is causing an issue are you able to disable it in the bios?

I think I have it blacklisted in Unraid... can't "disable" in bios that i'm aware but have PCIE has the graphics preference.

BTW just want to say thank you for going down this rabbit hole with me!

Nest time please post the diags here in the forum.

The ast driver is not correctly blacklisted, type:

echo "blacklist ast" > /boot/config/modprobe.d/ast.conf

Then reboot.

Still no progress

Post new diags to confirm the ast is now blacklisted, but possibly, that is not the issue.

Sorry for the delay, life happened so server was put on the back burner for a bit. back and in System devices it "looks" like the AST is blacklisted.... But now intel_gpu_top -L shows "no GPU devices found"

It is, so I'm afraid that is not the issue.

Also Just incase, I also have dummy plugs in all ports of the GPU!

I also had this exact same issue with the asrock rack romed8-2t board, with an arc A310 gpu. Initially only the aspeed ipmi graphics adapter was visible under /dev/dri, even though lspci would show the card, and I could even select it for gpu passthrough to a vm.

I eventually was able to solve it by changing the 'Primary Graphic Adapter' in the bios to 'Onboard' (Advanced -> Chipset). I did not need to blacklist the ast module; once i made that change in the bios and rebooted, I still had full ipmi kvm functionality, and the arc gpu showed up under /dev/dri -- intel_gpu_top also works.
